Hey man! Love your sketches and Smashing Pumpkins too
Really like the atmosphere and the black eye painted portraits...distressing and elegant at the same time!

Haha, glad to hear that your shoulder is recovering
The speed sculpt look good, but you should put some more time on refining the attachment of the hair it looks very rough.
I know it's just a speed sculpt, but just a little more work and it would turn out great

btw I really like your entry, good luck!

Nice and moody style on this last one posted...
You might want to check out the works of Rebecca over at CG TALK..When I saw this latest piece you posted, it put me in mind of some of her dark side images and how she expresses her emotions in them..She wrote some good thoughts about how to express emotion and on how she gets those thoughts across in her art...If you get a chance, you might want to read what she wrote...She teaches anatomy out in L.A now and is the forum leader who created the Artistic Anatomy Forum in CG TALK..which is where my other and main sketchbook that i've been developing for a few years now is at.
I was just thinking that her works and words might be of interest to you, and might add to your inspiration..
Anyway, here is the link to her CG TALK Portfolio

    Hey SpiritDreamer! Hope you're well

Thanks for your kind comment. It took me a while to go through her artwork, and I can see what you're saying about the mood. Really soulful art now that I've examined it further. Thanks for hooking me up!

    All the best!

I too am learning Mayas MR and find myself enjoying it a lot. I think you should give the SSS skin shader a try, it gives some great results after you fine tune it. Nice works, all very heavy moods.
