    Default Fattening Up

Thx for the comment keraj47, glad you like how Pigsy is coming along.

I have detailed and shaped the ears some more, I have also decided to fatten up the neck of the pig, giving him a large fold under his chin. I am hoping to get his shirt collar and tie into the scene soon.

    Default Top Hat & Cigar

I thought I will bring in the top hat I was making in Modo. I only did it in basic form but will shape the rim correctly in ZBrush. I also added a cylinder to start modelling the cigar.

I also worked the chin folds a bit nicer.

    Default Testing Some Skin Tones

I decided to play around with polypainting on the old version of the head, just to see what tones to use and how they will look together. I have also been working on the pigs cravat, will post that later on.

    Default Superman Returns :P

A few of my friends talked to me a few weeks back, and said to me why am I not finishing stuff!!! That most of the work is done and it's just getting the detail and polish to finish things.

Then I went back to my superman model (after months), and thought they are right!!! So, I have started retopologising the mesh, I also gave Decimation Master and GoZ with Modo a try, and did this render of my ZBrush model in Modo.

So I will finish retopologising next and detail him up more, before working on his hair, I will also remove the symbol and remake it using Shadowbox and Matchmaker. Anyway hope he's looking better.

Hi spimmy! You have some nice new models here.
The cyclpos thing is cool. I`d love to see this head attached to a wildcat body.
I just read that you worked with Match Maker. Is it easy to use? So far I had no chance to check it out because there are so many new features and brushes and I don`t have enough time.
I`m looking forward to seeing what else you come up with next time.

Thanks Moni , I haven't yet used matchmaker as I have still been retopologising the mesh, but will let you know as soon as I do use it

So here is Superman retopologised finally, next is to continue sculpting and defining areas abit more, before using matchmaker to add the symbol. I need to also rework his hair mesh to get it looking good.

    Default The Mad Hatter

I've started a project that I am hoping to definitely finish!!!!

I had an idea a while back, where I thought to myself what would "Alice in Wonderland" be like if it were set in space. So I started to concept some characters up, my hope is to make a scene with 4 characters, Alice, The White Rabbit, The Cheshire Cat, and The Mad Hatter. I thought this would be a nice gift for my Baby Daughter who is due later in Feb, as a picture to be put up on her nursery wall (Although I won't be finishing anytime soon ).

I have concepted all of the characters except Alice, which I haven't managed to get the right feel for yet.

The first of the characters I have been working on model wise ended up being The Mad Hatter, which I am at the moment base modeling him in Modo, but hope to get him into ZBrush soon to detail him up a little bit and unwrap and texture him. I am at the moment working on his gloves and hands, then I can get back to working on his head. I just thought it would be cool to post him here already to get any feedback.

    Default The Mad Hatter Model

Finally finished modeling the Mad Hatter in Base form in Modo!

So will now bring the model in to ZBrush to UV Unwrap him, Texturing, and then posing him (and maybe a bit of sculpting).

Then will take him back to Modo to apply the textures and Render him out (I will possibly try Modo's Hair/Fur tool as a final touch).

Anyways this is what he looks like now:

    Thumbs up

Wonderful, imaginative work! I especially enjoyed the Mad Hatter ... the kicker for me was the teapot on his back.
