There have been few models of real people posted lately and some have been alot closer to the subject in likeness than others.

Someone said not sure who, when doing real life characters that the relationships (measurements from each other) of the landmarks of the eyes, nose, mouth, and the main characteristic features used by characaturists, eg prominent wrinkles, big nose, mouth shape etc make a model look like the subject.
Did you do this by eye or did you use measurements.

I just used my eye. measuring stuff? that doesn't sound like fun.. haha altho im not 100% happy with the likeness yet.

I did a search to see if I could offer any constructive suggestions and this is the only image I could find that was of the age and expression close to yours.



I think that he has a tendancy to furrow the brow ridge between his nose more to one side creating a definate crease to the right of centre.

And I think you may have added to much volume to the jowels and eyes, his eyes are'nt always that puffy, they do appear more puffy when he smiles because he tends to squint.

and there is a bit more length in the fold as the cheek fold flattens out into the cheek area.

I don't think this is his normal expression which has made it more difficult to get the likeness, he usually has that weary grin.

nice work! quite a good likeness on the Tom Hanks sculpt! Even though you may have ahd 1 or 2 things a lil off, likeness is very hard of course and u did a fine job!

There is a great mood in this piece. Love the blues and reds, very inspirational. Looks like it belongs in "night at the museum", I keep expecting him to come to life, definitely top row material.

you should make a few more busts and do a full museum of sculpts in that style
