    Default Jaw of the Beatle,WIP

    Hi Everyone,

Here is the fast modeling of an axe I made yesterday (almost 3 hours from start to finish, including UV Mapping). It is based on a Concept I found from "Beyond Anima".Hope you like it.

    Any C&C is welcome.

    First!

That cloth looks really good, all the lower middle looks great
but I think the blade should be a little sharper... i know it´s difficult to achieve this in zbrush, but it's not impossible, it also should look a litte more worn because ... its a weapon, so it should look like that...

For the texture looks pretty fine but you should not rely so heavily in the cavity masking, it's really helpful when defining exposed areas, but just for that, defining.

    Nice model!
The textures could use some work though. Two thoughts:
    1) The scrapes and scratches are placed evenly all over the ax. This doesn't really happen naturally. There will be more wear and tear at the blade than on the handle. Pay attention to what surfaces would be hit most. The side of the ax head would defiantly not have as much abuse at the front. Think of it like a illustration where you have selective details to draw the viewers eyes to an area of interest.

    2) The entire ax looks to be made of the same material. From the wireframes it looks like it's made out of bone but from the Zbrush textures it looks like metal? Even the scratches on the leather grip looks like metal. Just be aware of what materials you are sculpting.

Nice work, the blade can do some work on the textures, the white tattoo like marking is too white
