    HI guys!

Yes i was kind of busy for the past few months. I'm am directing my first animated tv series (the one i have shown you months ago, with the rhino who dances ) more over I had to direct a 1min30 pilot for a 3D animated tv project till the end of september and I'm now a daddy since July!!!

regarding my pipeline, for the characters, i usually do my lowpoly in XSI, then even for very simple objects i use Zbrush to find the good shapes and to make the textures (polypainting and/or Zapplink).
After that i bring back my characters in xsi after the retopo...
It sometimes happens that i use the same pipeline for backgrounds...

All my camera mapping are done in xsi. But their quality depends of the watercolor that i paint by hand..it can work with an illustration painted in photoshop too... it doesn't matter

Here is one picture and below the link to the pilot of my new project.
When i was working alone on the first tests, i used to work on xsi and Zbrush. For the pilot as i had a team working on it, it wasn't the same pipeline.

    Hope you will like it.

by the way how do i put the video directly in my post?

Great to hear from you and congratulations with your sun/daughter Cedric !

The pilot looks so cool...It's just great to see your watercolor paint style translated into 3D...love your colors/style.

Congrats on the TV Series. The Pilot is amazing.

Looks like a lot of 2D and some 3D mixed in. Would love to know more about how this was done. Did you paint the main 3D characters with a watercolor look or is that done in post.

Nice work on the animation and congratz on being the director on this one, somehow it feels very fresh and new, and that's never easy to do. Keep it up.
