    Default Leehand Sketchbook

So, first post in my sketchbook...

The base concept is from Paul Bonner, an amazing artist!!!
    www.paulbonner.net/

I just try to have fun with it and translate his drawing...Don' t want to keep it as a constrain...just have fun

So for now, I' ve begun to work on the body shapes and gesture and made a low def armor. A lot of tweak to do!!!

    C&C are welcome!!

Wow, great job so far! It's hard to do a literal translation of 2D into 3D but you're really nailing it -- yes I'm VERY familiar with the image.

I like your musculature better than the Bonner image which is a bit ambiguous -- really nice job here! I do prefer the oversized left-arm armor in the Bonner image but as you said you're just having fun!

You going to be adding any more of the image or just the sewer beast?

    thank you so much jbuck,
Indeed it was hard to translate the drawing because proportions are oversize!!!
Specialy the left arm as you said...I told me you have to give him more muscles...and once I do it...I look at it and...damn!! he needs more muscles!!!...will see.
Now, I will try to have credible muscles shapes...a lot of work!

To answer your question, I haven' t planed to sculpt the whole picture.
I will probably try to find something quicker to present him. ( I hope mister Bonner will forgive me )

Absolutely excellent, especially the face/head. The muscle definition came out really well and you can't do Paul Bonner without it.

I'm wondering if the amount of elephant skin/leathery skin type wrinkles on the flexed muscles isn't a bit much? Perhaps the skin would be less wrinkled where it is stretched tight over a bulging muscle. The skin texture overall is good though and should texture beautifully.
