Y/hauss: Yeah i wanted a tall, lean, super model look to her. but yeah still dangerous lol
Solidsnakexxx: well she finally crossed into the third dimension![]()
dustbin1_uk: thanks man
maxinkuk: yup. the age old question of why comic characters wear stilettos lol. but since she has that tommy gun she doesnt really have to run. she'll just shoot you and walk away :P
TheProCreator: yah man. i got it in there. you know me...cant stop, wont stop....bad boy eheh eheh
Drakelot: thank you
ok onto the update
I used Mr. Kingslien's technique for the zsphere base mesh. Using the edge loop tool really helped keep nice even polygon distribution. And after some tlc with the move brush, i have a starting point. Zspheres are great. Now onto the fun stuff![]()
I hope you dig

nice base mesh. how did you get the fingers to come out of the ends of the arms so nice?
threetails: thanks...yeah hopefully itll be fun![]()
pgarcia: i put this small tutorial together. hopefully it helps you out a little.
When youre done laying out the model with zspheres. Use the move brush to shape the palm.

The resulting model will have just enough polygons to extrude fingers and a thumbits nice how that works out. Using the "point select" option under the transform menu, select the individual finger polygons (two polygons). The point select option makes it easier to hide and unhide polys since you only have to select one point on a polygon to hide or unhide it.

After you isolate the two polygons for the finger. Under the Geometry tab along the right, hit the "edge loop" button. itll insert an edge loop...imagine that

When youre done doing all the fingers, just use the move brush with a small radius to pull the fingers out. When youre done pulling them out, you can isolate the polygons around the finger and use the edge loop button again for more polygons along the fingers. Then just finish shaping the handThere you go. Hope that helps.

luis,
thats very cool. My fingers looked like soggy french fries. I am going with clenched fists for my pose so I kinda got around it but I am definetely going to try it out.
thanks alot.
Paul
Nice update and very good use to create the finger....very useful indeed.![]()

Nice technioque for the hands, thanks for sharing!
You made a very clean basemesh, nice work!
Great concept sketch, really like it.
Good hand tutorial too, since I have been struggling to create the hands for my model, but that technique seems awesome!
Great start too your model too.
I like the scetch and pose along with it, if i was to pick a color i would go with the black and maby give the suit some thin pin strips
Wicked!! that's such a cool way to make a hand!
Kinda like traditional box modelling!
Looks like a great concept, Luis! She's a smooth criminal!![]()
I think black as well. Adding pin stripes is a good suggestion too. Maybe widen the shoulders as well. Those old gangster suits had broad shoulder areas.
Nice sketch/start and thanks for tutorial !
Keep it up.
