The lo res model anatomy is looking great. Judging by your awesome concept sketch and what you have modeled so far, this could be a very strong entry.

A wonderful entry. Top story with very good angle to the relationship between man and the environment. And an exceptionally strong visual. I look forward to its development. Great work so far.

Thanks a lot webhead, harmonic, skullbeast, malleable man, dustinbin1_uk, SolidSnakexxx, KrakenCMT, maxinkuk and Lucky1 for the props!

I got a few more hours in today and I'm finally starting to get more secondary forms in on the upper torso and head. Still need to work on the head some more and give the lower body some love but I'm starting to think I might need to think about posing him before I get too carried away on the arms.

super progress cmoffitt, I am really impressed, I also would agree that posing the arms first would help to keep from smushing or stretching fine detail.

    Default Zspheres RULE!!

Big thanks to threetails, zeke3d, Pluie., fishadder, SolidSnakexxx, richiewu1986 and dustbin1_uk for the kudos.

pgarcia - Thanks! I'm just under a million right now. Something like 958k.

I'm loving zspheres and I can't believe I never used them before. It's so easy and creates such clean meshes. I'm getting some of the large roots laid out around the Dr.'s body. I keep wanting to get started on the sculpting but I should probably pose him first. I'm still not happy with the head. He looks too chiseled and heroic for a villain and I keep thinking I should go back and make him look more like John Locke from "Lost". That's who I pictured originally in the story before his transformation. I thought I would do a quick photo paintover to see if he'd work and I kinda like it. What do you guys think?

I like the paintover a lot. He does have that VERY villianous look about him. Great progress so far!

yeah, its a good paint over , but more like your concept, as though he was in his 80s or just really weathered looking. super subtle facial wrinkles in my mind makes him look less villainous. nice zsphere work!
