"I made a seamless hexagon alpha texture in photoshop and then used the elastic brush on a low intensity setting and the DragRect stroke. I set the brush alpha tile and wrap mode up a few levels, masked out the area I want to put the hex pattern on and drug it in. Hope that helps."
