Default Action Hero - Sustainable Energy Man

    Entry: Sustainable Energy Man
    Entrant: Daniel Evans
    sustainable-man-for-web-3.jpg

Story: Mother Earth is in trouble.. so at the center of the earth a new hero is born.. Sustainable Energy Man!
he comes to save Man and Earth! from Trash, global Cooling, Global warming, storms, carbon gases, and toxic waste, over population..etc etc.
Summoned by Mother Earth, he blasts from the center of earth. Then emerges from the earths crust forming magical roots and vines for legs. Also a sensor core that rotates and allows him to visualize the earth. This is for locating environmental crisis on the planet. His hands are also very powerful allowing him to go into land fills.. and turn garbage into plants.. soil.. flowers.. nature!
his eyes emit shining light from space.. or the sun.

his legs can detach..to attack an enemy and his upper body can then roll around using the earth core sensor thing..

Weakness:His only weakness sadly is Nuclear Radiation.. which I guess is Man's punishment for creating the Bomb..

    Talk about a Timely Superhero!

    Great concept!
I like the root legs. They will be awesome, once rendered!
Maybe have plants sprouting from his footsteps behind him...

This will be beautiful when it's done. Very original!

This should be very colorful to see. I'm having a bit of trouble picturing him, even with your concept sketches, but I'm sure it will all become clear as you work on it. ZBrush is great for branches and such, so the legs should be awesome.

    Default progress wip stuff

i am making a separator between the earth and the upper torso.
I used max for the base mesh of the torso and earth.. The rest is with zbrush.. the torso was sculpted using zbrush.
i added some edge loops to the torso using Zbrush..

tell me your thoughts.. thanks for your time.

Default lots of more roots to make..

the earth is going to be fun to make. I am getting a pose ready too by taking reference shots..

I was thinking of making his hands have this sculpted leave texture to them.. I'll be thinking about that..

Cool we need this guy's help!I like your concept also.I was thinking that maybe the roots of the legs could continue up and then sort of wrap around the earth..Kind of tying into the torso..anyway love it and rock on!!

Hey dismantled, looken good so far.
I would suggest working on his proportions a bit to make them at least a bit heroic if not fully heroic.
Keep it up, I am looking forward to see how this one turns out.

    Default tying into the torso

JUPITER: the roots of the legs will continue up and then sort of wrap around the earth. that is a great idea... better then what I was thinking....thanks

Harmonic: Thanks for the response.. I am debating now... I was planning to make him more like bruce lee (extremely ripped)..which I was going to sculpt once I posed him..
I didn't really want to add any more bulk...to the design
