SolidSnakexxx, squeige, Harmonic thank you! I belive your right harmonic, her nose is not long enough and perhaps a few other touches, I will give it a go. As with anything it can always be made better, but for now I must go back to my villan. stay tuned

Zeke, this is looking really fantastic! I love the detail you put into the girl's clothing. The cloth is pulling in all the right places. The beast is massive and looks like he could wipe out an entire city. Very nice. Looking forward to more progress on the beast.

OK going to work on the pose, I don't want to add any more work in fear of losing it, I don't want to be afraid of where the pose takes me. Time to make this movie!

OK so got about 75% of the pose captured on my first try, I was hoping to get it all on my video, but the capture software is too in my way and having to save off files was messing up my flow. So the details I will work on and post screens of as I go. Now to get my flow back.

I was using jing by the way.

Spent most of yesterday relaxing and waiting for my rough cut of my transpose movie to be uploaded to YouTube. From what I have read this process can take days and has reached over one so far with my 5 min movie at DV size, I found this page that pretty much breaks it down for you. Might be posted elsewhere on zbc, but here it is also:

    Guides for YouTube Video

I think I will cancel uploading my rough cut, since its quality is not that good, and I really want to put the polish on it before I spend the time to upload it. I suggest not waiting on the last minute to try and do so. Hope that helps some. Now its time to get back to work!

thanks chindian, I am glad you like my damsel super hero.

after a few days fusing with video, youtube, codecs and wasting time, energy and momentum, I have decided to leave this stuff alone completely until I make far more progress, for what its worth here is what I was able to get up. Still lots of work to do, I think I am somewhere like 30-40% done with what I will need for the contest. The way I picture Wrath would be a movie fx houses techical and artistic nightmare, a villan that would have a definite form like mystique, but mostly seen moving through forms almost in a pose by pose, scene by scene basis as to give the audience something it has not seen before.

A quick rant, feel free to ignore:

What I have learned is, do not use Jing as your transpose movie recording software, it is highly probable that you will not be able to get your footage out of its proprietary .swf format, and you may not be able to edit it the way you like. It is an amazing free capture tool but this is its major draw back. I was by some miracle able to convert my movies over into the avi format once and therefore have my transpose movie ready, but have not been able to reproduce these results, besides that process was very inaccurate. As for my transpose movie the quality was low so when I went to try it again, I couldnt get it to work, as well as trying almost every other encoder decoder out there. I still have the propriatary SWFs and if anyone out there knows of a proven way to encode them into another format please let me know. I want to do a HD quality transpose movie, so that people can better see how I went through the process of posing my character. So hope that helps anyone reading this.

Outstanding! I like flow of the tail and tentacle-like things on his feet. Strong pose.

So are you going to texture him after posing, or texture in the t-pose?

after posing, and after detailing the model first.
