cool progress since i last seen ur post. I agree that the neck and boob area needs to be tweeked alittle. For me it seems that the chest area is alittle bulky. Anyways the model is looking good ^^. happy chinese new years BTW.

    SolidSnakexxx,

With the amount of work you've invested in your entry, you may, after finally being able to walk away from your workstation, find yourself with mantis like protusions over a finger, or eye lid.

That aside, Mantis Man is, to me, an eye popping top row specimen.

The only aspect of his pose I find somewhat static are his antennae. Maybe the wind, or screams from his terrified oppoents could be bending them back a bit more.

    Brilliant work and overall thread.

Red face Minor update on the proportion and Detail pass

    - FoOD -:
Thank you so much, - FoOD -. Will be adding more details soon :_

    JHK3D:
Thank you for liking the pose. It was a hard decision to choose a pose indeed

    spimmy:

Thanks, mate. I've been trying to stick to my original goal..daily update...no matter how small it may be. So that it get's constant attention apart from daily chores

    tokio:
Thank you, tokio. Yours coming along well too. Look forward to your final render.

    jp_smith:
Thanks, buddy. Every time I look at my own model, I always be thankful of your help to get to this stage. Again, thank you so much.

    snoopalu:
Thank you, snoopalu. I've adjusted a tad on the breast area. But the neck area I'm remaining as is for the moment as I envision him squashing his neck quite a bit in this pose. And Happy Chinese New Year to you too. Will try to do final adjustments before the end of the contest

    ravioli_rancher:
Thank you so much for your kind words, ravioli_rancher. I've adjusted tony bit on the antennae..It's kind of tough having it splaying all over...This will get my attention in the last step.

    IVision:
    Thank you sir

    Gohanf22:

Thanks, man. I see yours coming along real good too with added swords and stuff. Keep working , mate.

    mantegra:
I sure hope he will look more gritty once I get to the fine texture stage...which is suppose to start...Today!

    Moni-Poroni:
Thank you, Moni-Poroni. The higher level of details are being added as I write this pose. Hopefully you will like the new update I gave to the Mantis Man.

    Mid Day Update:

Today is Saturday....in Thailand and I woke up late..hehehe....but woke up to a state that I know I'll spend most of my day ZBrushing...so it's a good day. Anyhow. The morning I spent my time on the proportion and I think it's set. Then another detail pass on the body. Then add Chip atop his shoulder. The rest of the early afternoon was Primitive fun to create a duded missile. The missile by itself comprise of a lot of subtools before I combine them all into one for easy management.

    Here's the mid day effort:

I tell ya Yong, I don't know how you manage to post a good update every single day, but you do. It's really impressive. If the survival of mankind hinged on one person getting up every day and pressing a button I wouldn't hesitate to put you in charge. That's not a slam, it's a testament to your commitment and reliability...I don't know how you do it bro, but I'm glad ya do!
