    Default Rabagh

    rabaghthxg1.jpg

Hey guys! This is my latest character. Many images from concept art to texture showcase are coming! I'm also happy to tell that I'm currently working on "Making of Rabagh" tutorial for Gnomon. I hope it will be interesting for beginners and experienced artists as well

    So let's get started!

    Concept Art

I was inspired by awesome "Gears Of War" It's not an attempt to copy an original game style.
I just wanted to make something worthy of such cool universe and put all what I love in 3d shooter games

    Highpoly model with Zbrush pass.

Before I started lowpoly stage I did this quicktest. I turned my model into pixols and add some quick details like dirt and scratches.

Final textured model(hires image - please wait)

I didn't restrain myself with polycount and texture resolution. Just wanted to make a good looking piece. That's max scanline render with a couple of omni lights.

    Wireframe and Textures showcase

As you can see it's too much polys for usual videogames pipeline Forgive me that:halo: I'll make the LODs if you need it ha-ha ))))))

    Textures:

    I painted 3 textures with 2048x2048 resolution and 2 textures with 1024x1024

Hope you guys like it! Big cheers to everybody

Quite a handsome dude! I really like the face. Texturing is topnotch too. Game engines can handle 35,000 poly characters now?
