Goes to show that even something as simple as a shoe, that's been well executed, can look really good. nice work.

SolidSnakexxx - cheers mate, very kind of you to make those nice comments considering the calibre of your current Action Hero work . I modelled the base mesh for the laces and shoe in Maya, using a profile pic of the shoe. It was only about 400 tris so really just the shape and size. I will post the mesh later if you like

Vidar - Vidar Vidar Vidar, update your Blog you lazy blogger . Seriously dude thanks for the support. I was wondering if you ever swung by the ZB forums but clearly you do

mkk316 - Thanks very much again for a nice comment. This model will be used on a full character it's just the shoe to start with. I really what to do this study again but in an unworn form, at present they are prepared for feet in an upcoming project.

Thanks again for your feedback it is so helpful to helping to improve.

    Those are my shoes!
Great sculpt. The fabric grain and those small cuts on the rubber are really bringing it to life. I can almost smell it.

It looks really good, I'm loving the scuffed up parts in the front with wear and tear in it, the only thing thats not working for me is that the red is too bright and new looking . i would imagine it being worn and faded some. and the strings that go around the top seem a little flat

Very good feedback BillyT I will fix these things over the weekend.

I have only really just started the main canvas part but the rubber sole and front are much further along than the rest.

Ok finally started some test passes on this guy. Oh and not to forget the basic texture work has been started. It's all pretty simple at the moment, the texturing. Also I know I still have work to do on the render it really needs work in certain areas and there is no sss on yet... so be kind

Anyway anyone with some advice I would be very grateful.

OH and the hair will NOT be sculpted in the end. It will be hair done in maya.

Hi scottleroc, thank you so much for the nice comments on my scketchbook.
You know, I've been following this thread from day one. I think you've got some great sculptin' goin' on here!
To bad I can't give you any advice on the sculpts: to new at Zbrush, didn't do any polypainting yet... .

    See ya'! !
