I love the superman! Only the one thing I feel is lacking most is the feel that he is wearing a suit, if you could like put some wrinkles over his abs and or blur marks to is looks like there is fabric going over some of those crevasis I think this thing would jump out at you!!! Otherwise amazing skills man!

Thanks for your support in comment form.

Julian n: Sorry I haven't got any more views of the lion. It's meant to be a base-relief type design made out of gold.

Lordrych: I feel the same way about Superman's torso and arms. In a newer version of the model I've added some wrinkles to the right side of his body but it wasn't a big enough change to warrant posting up a new image.

Superman's arm and torso also feels a bit too ridged, which I put down to the base mesh being waaay to dense. More detailed the base mesh and it almost feels like you're swimming up stream. Where you should be able to tweak the shape and form of, say, the chest or shoulder it's a lot faster and easier to push 4 or 5 verts around than it is to push about 25+.

I'll have to dig about and see if I can find any other stuff I've used Zbrush to create while working here. Most of the time I just use Maya and hardly ever touch Zbrush. Shame really.

    Hi,

I'm back at work again and I thought I'd remodel Superman model's arms and torso from scratch. As a few of you have pointed out, there was just too much definition. And also, I've downloaded the Zpetroc's Skeleton Study, which was a real help.

Excellent work! How about posting some more angles on him?!

    Cheers!

Highlander_72, Yup, sorry, I realised that you can't actually see the new torso that well in that render. Here's two other views of him.

    man, nice work there.
not sure how i overlooked this untill now. really good stuff.
are you gonna texture/render the superman? would be nice.
small suggestion. just a little nitpicking. think you should taper out the snout of his boots a tad. to make it look more like a hard leather boot or so.
    just a thought.

    Default Footballer

    Long time no post.

I wasn't sure about starting a new thread for this model so thought I'd tack it onto this one. This project fell through but I continued to finish off the main model in my spare time. It was initially done for work (Candylab http://www.candylab.co.uk/index1.html ).

    Hope you like. Feedback welcome.

Default It has been a while..

Mxhaunted: Hey nice seeing you post again, enjoyed your earlier sculpts. This footballer is superb, excellent in regards to pose and cloths dynamics. Though many wrinkles they are well placed and seem natural. I think my only lil tiny afterthought is that with how well detailed the hair, cloths and most of what I see on the body the face seems a wee bit plain. Maybe some forehead lines or skin detailing.. possibly lil more expressive look for the face. Though it does seem like it still a wip so take it with a grain of salt since the sculpt is top notch and I really enjoy it.
