zbt.jpg Another thrown together bit n bobs job.

I made everything except the body ,I used a default poser base and shaped it a little. The head I spent a couple of days on out of a sphere...When I have the time I will make my own body base to feel liberated from all external shortcut cheating. The texture is passes from zbrush blended in cs3.

C+C Welcomed as I need to move forward.Cant afford maya or max but will have c4d soon.Maybe modo, undecided .If anyones really rich and would like to buy me a great renderer to see my work improve I might consider it ha ha.

hey Cal, I really like your two last works...very creative. I think realism and rendering are too much important to people in this 3d world, thats why I see so many boring stuff in top row, just because looks real, but no creativity at all...you are always trying something new....thats why I like your work...Happy New Year, looking forward to your 2010 works...

Hey Cal.. nice work buddy. I like the fact that you are looking for a 3D program to advance your work flow.

Default C5X from Undoz low poly base..

savagliani:Hi Mate, thankyou very much for your words that make me feel better about my short comings in rendering.I am still aiming for more realism in the future though.. .I do try to do the uncommon which is what I aim for and am happy with my ideas, just the final results through rendering could be better. Lets see where 2010 takes me.Happy New year to you also.

alphagsv:Hi Glen, thanks for popping in and yeah Im looking for a renderer.Do you know if mental ray standalone is just that, like a programme you can import to or is it a seperate unit to be installed on max/maya etc.I tried to find out but am not getting the idea explained yet.
Im trying to update xsi foundation as to not waste my $800 dollars.I have to see is autodesk will allow it.I purchased lots of tuts from digital tutors so and that version (6) so I'll be really pd off if they throw me away.Thtas why I asked of mental ray stan alone,if you know or anyone else.I 'll put a thread in help if not.

    Heres my latest WIP.
I used the low poly base from undoz's thread found here.
    http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthr...&page=35&pp=15

    Thanks Undoz!!
C+C Welcomed.Next Im trying to work out how he bends etc.I need to cut out around the joints I guess.Anything else im not seeing ?
    Cheers and happy new year.

    Hi..Cal...
I've really been enjoying your sketchbook and your works in it...gives me a better vision and understanding of how 3d programs can be handled in a manner that is not totally geared toward animation, but more geared in the direction that i'm into with my own work and creativity.
    Thanks for the inspiration////s...

SpiritDreamer:Thanks for your remarks, yes Im not an animation artist or do I ever intend on being one.I like to make images (mainly concept)and I use zbrush as a main tool.Thats me summed up.I love the way I can use zbrush to reach certain goals that would be very time consuming in ink..

undoz:Thanks very much,.Appreciated you passing through again, you've made my zbrush experience better visually and in character design easier..Ok enough already get off I hear the scream ...lol.. I hated leaving the 'I made something with your model' remark but just incase you liked to see what grows from your meshes.. cal.

    Hello,

    Concept:Poser base mesh(aghhhhhhhhhhh)I know I know..but>>>!
    >>>But I do these to give me real concepts to look at for future rebuilds.
My drawing out takes longer than my zbrush concepts so I go this way ha.
Made in zb and cs2.Mesh extract and multi layer comp with zbrush materials.
Lower regions need addressing due to the material nature not bending. Her eyes are BOB cats eyes .
