    Default adio38's Sketchbook

Hey everybody, I am new to Zbrush, I have only been sculpting in it for about 2 months, give or take a day. I am currently taking a class at college witch has helped me so much with the program. This is the first head that I have done that I am happy enough with to put up here. It is extreamly a WIP still. As I look at it I can see things wrong with it, such as the lips, eyes, and some other things I am trying to fix. I have currently decided to try human skin painting, the book I have is very helpfull. But what I feel will really help me is all of you critiquing it and giving me feed back. I hope to post more work. Thank you all for helping/critiq.

Here is another project I am working on for a class. It is a Gorilla, another WIP. I put the black material on it just to make it look a little more natural. I am going to pose him a little different than what he is. The face I tried to give him a happy look. His feet and hands are not right, they actually need to be bigger I believe. All critiques are welcome. Thanks again for looking.

Hey guys, I have not posted any images in awhile, this is a current project I am working on for my class. The head is close to being what I want it, the body is far from. I was doing the anatomy before I deform it in any way. I gave it 4 fingers and 4 toes for a reason. It is still a very WIP, the look I was going for on the face was Sloth from the Goonies. I will continue posting. C+C welcome. Thanks.

I am pretty happy with the gorilla, I need to post the rest of that project. I want to do fur, I am currently learning how to do it in Max, however I am also in the process of switching to XSI.

Ok, here is an update for my deformation of a character for my class. I discovered ZApplink, and I redid my textures. C&C welcome. Thanks all.

    Hey there.

It doesnt seem like the zbrush class your in (is it one?) isnt very advanced.
If you want to work in a character sculptor job someday you should seriously
work on your own and whenever you have the time.
Are you using a tablet? If no get one its way more streamlined and fun with one.
If youre doing the class just for fun and your work will be in some other place one day have fun

the monkey i like best for now seems like a good base to start sculpting on
    heres some inspiration maybe http://zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=057210

Thanks for the comment. I am no longer in the Zbrush class, I took it last semester. Sadly it is not that advanced of a class, it is more for beginners. I know some people are trying to push for a more advanced class. I am working on some side projects, however, due to classes, and homework I had to put those to the side for the time being. I was using a tablet at the beginning, then I sold it. I am currently waiting on my new Intuos4 witch I am going to pick up today. The top head I completly redid and I need to repost what I did, and the monkey I have done as well. I want to render them out in Max and repost as well. Thankyou again.

    Default Screwing around

Hey all, here are a couple images of a face I started. I was just wasting time, I started with just a plane Poly Plane in Zbrush. I was doing it at first like I said to waste time. But something about it struck interesting to me, so I figured I would keep it, maybe add more to it, probably some ears, maybe some more eys. The mouth is not the final one, I just put that there. I don't know, let me know what you all think. Thanks. C+C welcome.

Well guys, I have not posted any work in awhile, but here is a sculpt I did. Its just a bust, nothing major, but I am trying to work on my hard edges. I started from a box in zbrush and after i got what I liked, I did a retopo. I had nothing in mind going into this, I just went with the flow and this is what came out. C & C please and thankyou.

I don't like his nose. He seems a bit lumpy in the lower part of the front of his neck. Big bug eyes are always cool. Keep playing with the hard edge stuff to see where you can go. Thanks for watching my rodents!!! I'll buy you a 6pack.

I don't like his nose either....I don't know why I gave it to him. I realized now that I forgot to smooth around his neck. I will keep plugging away at the hard edges. thanks.

Hey guys, new sculpt that I have been working on. Its still a big WIP. But I am trying to get some anatomy down as well. I have been working on the head for a couple days now, the reference images I am using, the guy has a flat head, so don't mind that. I decided to do the anatomy, let me know what you think. I think the back muscles are a little to long. C & C please

    Thanks.

A couple of problems with this bad boy.
    see Attached.

It gets a little confusing around the face area. Which needs a lot of work yet sir. We'll work on it. I'm gonna have to give you small things to do again it seems. You really need to work on the eyes, nose, lips, and ears....hmm, not much left to his face after that :P Not to be a dick, you asked, I'm telling you.

Anyway, I'll let you work on the body and whatnot some more before I make you cry again.
