Baz, great to see your work again, i find it interesting that your work moves in a right to left direction, i only tend to see this in Asian work. Interesting play on the ideas you are portraying as well, really gets my mind spinning.
in post #15 you have a crosshatching shader, is that in zbrush? if so could you let me in on how to achieve something similar.

Here is the explaination of this ZB-Shader. First make a tileable texture and use the DoubleShade. Maybe it also works with a Single shader, but I took the double. Play with the diffuse and specular curves to make the texture invisible in the highlighted parts.
