    Cool A Tribute To Critics

I just started on this piece a this morning for fun. It is turning out to be a lot of fun, and the title speaks for itself Lots more to go on it, but the main composition is there...

Oh yeah! Can't wait to see the finished model!

I like how much contrast there is here between the strong and the weak. The guy on his knees looks so helpless in that pose while the big guy looks so victorious with the one propped.

    Cool Day 2

Here is my progress from day 2. I added a bunch of detail. Gave the poor guy a pair of busted glasses and a tie. Also gave more detail to th shirt and the bodies. Going to add shoes and other stuff tomorrow. Probably...

I think the main character's left shoulder is too far back, and his right isn't back far enough. I also think his weight is on the wrong foot., or he would at least be leaning to his left more to counter balance the weight of holding up another person. I could be wrong on that point though, as I've never really had to lift up another person to flip the bird. I'd just pick up something heavy, like a briefcase or a backpack and try to make that pose. just see where your center of balance is. But his shoulders I do think feel awkward.
    Great expressions, and presentation though.

    Thanks for the feedback dude.

You're quite right, and I purposely intended to make the pose the way it is. I am exaggerating the proportions and the pose as one would in a caricature to emphasize gesture. Although this piece will change significantly (I only started it a couple days ago), I like the form and will probably not change the pose or proportions.

    Thanks anyway buddy.
