    Default Michael Turner's Fathom

Hey zbc. Been awhile since I've posted anything.

I've started Aspen from the Michael Turner comic Fathom. I'd like to dedicate it to him. He recently passed away. As a teenager Michael was one of my biggest inspirations.

This is still a maya base mesh. Still modelling in loose ends like how the armour ties onto the back. Hope you like it. Advice welcomed . Sorry its not a zbrush screen grab. It'll get there. Hope you like it so far.

    Cheers

Thanks for the comments everyone. I go on holiday this weekend so I can't work on it much.

    neuroticgothguy: Thanks man.

abyss103: haha. All I can say is damn you..

gizmoroo: Glad you like it. Thanks.

SolidSnakexxx: Thanks man. Hopefully its good. haha.

nickz: Hey Nick. Thanks for the comment. Been out of it lately. Technical issues in other apps. sigh. Hopefully I get more time for this. haha.

undoz: Thanks dude. Ye good ol poly work. Tedious. HAaha. Nah its alright. Don't mind it. Nothing beats an actual sculpt in zbrush though.

piek: Ayyy. Look who's slowely creeping into the forum. HAha. When will you post something? You gonna finish caliban? Come on you can do it. haha.

Zicarious: Thanks man. Me to. haha.

bneall: hey dude. Ye I agree about the armour being more featured. Problem is making it functional at the same time so she can swim. If you have any ideas let me know.. Chat soon. Mmmwwahahahahaha.

    Zeth09: Thank you so much!

    Hey guys.
Finally got to put Aspen in zbrush. Here's what I have so far. Still need to do the feet legs hands and so on. Please be patient
The pose was done in maya..
    AspenZbrush1web.jpg

And a test render. No zbrush in the render yet

    AspenRenderTestweb.jpg

And another with a different water idea..

Hope you like where this is going.

Incredible sculpt and pose! Not wild about the toes though they seem like they are trying to escape from each other. And they lack the sense of bone structure the other parts of the body possess.
