Awesome job brett! I love your color scheme for the armor. It's looking fantastic! What are you rendering with? Just maya and mental ray? Keep the updates coming!

hey buddy!
this piece just gets better and better. she really looks... GREAT.
one "small" crit/suggestion for you. maybe someone else already mentioned...
i think her hair would look more dynamic, if you made some longer threads of hair, here and there (maybe just 1 or 2).
if i remember correctly all her hair stops at the same "shoulder-height". maybe taper that to the "center". maybe it would help when you fluff it up...
looking forward to your next update on the water.

It has been so fun watching the progress of this project. What an awesome tribute to a great artist. Great job. She looks so hot now with the new hair. Thumbs up!
RIP Turner..... You are missed.
this is gorgeous brett. can't wait to see the finished product.
are you going to do some real water sculpting, or leave it stylized/glass-like?
lovely face
looking forward for more updates

I like the face. It has Lots of life n beuty.
Looking great!
If you want some critique, I d say that the specular highlights should be wider/softer and maybe even dimmer on her body, with the exception of the face/hands, where I think it's looking pretty spot on.
But yeah, I am liking where you're going with her, keep it up!
Love the way she's turning out.
Brett, you're definitely spot on about the water lacking any dynamic - at present it looks like a porcelin fireplace ornament, which tend to appear really static even though the pose indicates otherwise. Perhaps the addition of SSS to the skin may help to lift the body away from the water, at the moment the two surfaces and the armour are very similar.
As an image, the addition of DOF at the base will really make the top portion pop. But yep, looking forward to see the next stage of this piece.
Hello everyone. Happy new year.
Thanks for all the kind words and crits.
Heres an update. Hope fully the water looks a bit better. I checked out realflow and decided to just sculpt the damn thing. haha. Sorry for the small pics.
Also this is the direction I'd like to take for the final render. It hasn't got all the splashy drops in yet but you get the idea..
