And here's a character I sculpted for a Tron tribute animation done for the NBA Dallas Mavericks in-game entertainment. This is the non-textured version with the glow mask we used. New ZB3.5r3 brushes came in real handy on this one. Rendered in max/vray.

    Default cross update

Man, it's been forever since I've updated. Had a loooong project at work to fight through....

I've been working on the cross portion of my Jesus sculpt. Yes my version of the cross has bark on it. I've got some good reference that I'm using and I like the look of it.

I also adjusted the hand positions a bit too. The only thing I have left now is the feet!

Wow this is really coming nicely. His expression is great.

Are you going be doing full texturing and v-ray rendering with him?

    hey thanks guys! very encouraged.

And yeah, Simon, I was planning on taking this over to max/vray/mental ray and doing some lighting action on it. Perhaps I can take advantage of the new UV Master plugin to get started. I'd like to do a nice illustration in Photoshop to really bring it to life.

I'm not sure I want to detail the feet out because I probably won't show them in the final render - however, it just feels incomplete without detailing the feet, so I'm still pondering over that one...

    More to come!!

    Happy Easter everyone!

I just wanted to announce a new thing I'm doing called Monthly ZBrush Training. If you are a ZBrush character artist looking to get some extra training, this would be for you!

It's different than the Private ZBrush Tutoring I already offer as it's only $14.95 per month and it's basically a monthly video subsciption service. This is a "how I do it" kind of video that runs about 60 minutes usually (if not more) and will cover a wide range of topics in the world of ZBrush and how it pertains to character creation. For more information about the service and to subscribe please visit the dedicated site for my teaching/tutoring.

http://jessesandifer.blogspot.com - zbrush and character creation training

There is a FAQ section, a sample video excerpt, and info about me so you can feel all warm and fuzzy about signing up!

I would love to have some new subscribers signed up so we can get started this month on some cool studies. Should be fun!

    - oh yeah, I'm gonna have some new zbrush works soon...been busy. :\

I love the hair. How did you do it? How many polys is the Jesus sculpt?
