i believe the monster he's looking at on the right is in the scene. The other monster doesn't feel as incorporated. I think the angle on him is looking up too much. Also the lighting could be more cohesive between all of them. Think more contrast and focal point. Maybe add a strong vignette to highlight the hero. Very nice textures and sculpt though.

yeah, I had to handpaint the hairs cause of time. Didn't feel like messing with max hair again under stringent deadlines and zbrush hair was looking too helmetish.

Here's some shots of David (minus the hair - that was painted in PS). Maybe it shows the final angle of his pose a little better?

Some crits dont need to be so harsh in my opinion ..I love the piece as a whole.I do think the further figure could use a little of an overlay layer to sink him more to the other characters light. The model I think is suited but maybe his eyes need to be looking more towards us and down a little..
    Fantastic job..

I'm working on turntables now but I can't get the pivot to work correctly so it does a weird offset thing. I tried turning on the Screen based rotation but that doesn't fix it either. I was thinking about just rendering out of Max??

james: hey man - I rendered it out initially 6667x8000 cause the client wanted a movie poster to print for their pitch. Then I cropped it for my use at 6667x6000. Let's just say it was a beast of a render.

calum5ZB: thanks man. Yeah seems like I've been getting some harsh crit here and there. No biggie. I'm just glad I'm done with the image! As far as his eyes go, in the comp he's directing his stare towards the big giant on the right.
