    Default carToon Roadster - continued

Hi Displaced -- Thanks. Yes, GroBoto is beginning to 'mesh' with the rest of the CGI world... hope to accomplish that while remaining focused on being different, and easy.

Thanks Gary... here's a quick follow-up (only have a few moments to play).

A bit of progress on the Roadster (see previous post on this thread) -- went back to GroBoto and remodeled. Main move was re-proportioning... going from absurdly big wheels to just really-big. Made lots of other changes/refinements, added some details.

Ready to go after it in ZBrush -- just getting started in these shots.

    Best Wishes,
    Darrel

Al.Tintop - Thanks... I see that you do some cool 'tooning as well.
Gary - Thanks... would love to see what you would do... there are some sample meshes on the GroBoto Beta site. Play if you like.

Here's a quick update -- very busy with the latest beta release, so nearly no time.

    Default leafSpring kettleBot

    Hi everyone,

Wanted to play around with the seam masks exported from GroBoto. Found this old model of mine that has plenty of seams to work with.

Seam work is all a bit too much, too uniform, too smooth at this point -- will go back and add more variety, remove some of the ridges entirely, etc.

Some grime & age seems in order too.

    Best Wishes,
    Darrel

    Thanks SpiritDreamer

jaystein777 - thanks, look forward to seeing what you do.

Here's another from my 'Odd-Things-Growing-Out-Of-Odd-Heads' series... one of the prevailing themes on this thread.

Started as I was testing some new tools in GroBoto -- once again, could not resist playing.

I really like the stuff you come up with with Groboto ... intriguing piece of software

    Default crabKing - continued

Thank you Intervain - we are excited about where GroBoto is headed.

    Here's a quick follow-up on crabKing.
I may not go any further with this... leave it simple & stylized.

I have dozens of other meshes waiting to be explored. For me, at this point, it's all about learning ZBrush & discovering how to craft the GroBoto meshes... make them best suited for sculpting.

    Darrel

    Default arborPerch

    Hi everyone,

    Furniture for my treehouse...

WIP... Experimenting with turning the formal geometries towards something more organic. Have discovered some steps that pretty easily pull these branch-like forms out of the GroBoto mesh structure.

    Hi RamRam,

Thanks. You're on a good path with your recently posted work, always great to see original approaches here.

Right, it used to be tough to 'direct' GroBoto -- we have a new set of modeling tools that change all of that... very easy & fun now.

There are some examples on the site -- especially in the 'New Galleries' and the v3 beta sections, including some videos. I'll have more videos of the process ready in a few days.

Here are some more exploration of SeamNet manipulation -- this came together in a matter of minutes.

    Best Wishes,

    Darrel

Hey man, these models are wicked.

I grabbed Groboto about a week ago from the site, money well spent! Have had loads of fun with it, imported some stuff into zbrush, no probs at all.

Kicking myself I didnt go for the package with the upgrade included, just wasn't sure if I would get on with it, zbrush is the only "3D" program I am at all familiar with.

Looking forward to the next step in Groboto. Directing the bots is a bit tricky, so I'm sure the new tools will be welcome, great fun to watch as the mesh evolves infront of me though even as it is now.

    Keep em coming
