hey hey been busy after my move to Seattle getting settled in and making new pieces..
here are some images of a piece we made for a prosthetic benefit auction it was palladium, 18k gold, and about a carat and a half of diamonds. I'm looking forward to a slight redesign using colored stones, the finish is too bright and needs some patination .
pictures have something to be desired as well

but not a bad hurried first test. we were the highest selling piece at the auction so that was some what gratifying.
here are some screen caps of some WIPs (woohoo preview)
I'll have more pics of the new pieces finished soon

    Awesome works Tomas,
waiting for finished pix of these wonderful stuff,

    Just have some questions,

have you ever tried the OBJ import/Export plugin for Rhino/Matrix for working with Zbrush files in Rhino/Matrix ?

Have you ever tried Tsplines or TsElements for Import/Export zbrush files into Rhino/Matrix or Solidworks?

i just tried to convert Zbrush mesh into Nurbs surface with Tspline but i couldnt, the Tspline command has crashed everytime!

do you still exchange your files with Zbrush/Modo ?
do you get STL files with Modo?

    Thanks Tomas,

akiefer - Thank you and there is a lot more to show just have to get everything running smoothly after my move.

saeedm - 1. I take all my models into matrix as objs I have a Revo mill so that where I build my tooling paths. you have to decimate things to well below 300,000 polys for the program to deal with them. I use the stl exporter all the time for prepping files to grow. ever had an issue with either except keeping an constant scale between them. but that's no stress i just scale them in matrix.

    2. I just installed tsplines so I'm looking forward to playing with it, my friend travis says you can cleanly export them into Zbrush but I honestly haven't even made a cube with it yet. I'll have to report back on that one.

    3. Yes I use modo for all my block up. GoZ is invaluable for doing variations on a theme quickly. I have base ring sizes and gem sizes so what i bring into zbrush is at least to relative scale. Tsplines is a plug in version of modo that will hopefully open matrix up to more organic modeling but i cant give modo up because of the GoZ. don't get me wrong i think tsplines is a fantastic addition to matrix and will advance what designers can do with it. but almost everything I do is in Zbrush so it's connection with Zbrush is invaluable to my work-flow.

    4. no I use Zbrush to do my first round then run them through magic

    hope that helps
    t

some noh masks I'm going to make lanyard beads out of...... then re-purpose for rings
