Go to the brush palette and choose the Smooth brush, then change the intensity. You will get that same intensity for smooth when you press Shift while in other brushes.Originally Posted by womball

Many thanks to Spaceboy412 and Aurick for helping me overcome my symmetry problem. It was quite a simple fix, I was resymming on the x axis rather than the z-axis.
I tweaked the proportions a little on the woman model.

Good start. All the forms are there. You just need some more tweaking. I would make the arms a little shorter and extend the legs a little bit more. Keep it up man.![]()
So the major issues still left, are arm and limb proportions, and location and shape of crotch? The hands could be touched up a bit as well, but I think the feet are pretty much there I will post a close up soon.
I have been using the kadima model from 3d.sk for reference, but taking some leeway with her.
Some roughed out hair, and using a more color appropriate matcap for him.
Some corrections to the female anatomy. The big toes seems like its off.
Should I be sculpting in perspective mode to get a likeness?

Here's a an update to Blanka's proportions and overall form. I am going to touch up his teeth soon. And was thinkiing about completely retopologizing him, since he was form with zspheres. I have some trouble getting the shapes I want in the nose region.

coool !
looking forward to more blanka updates . Do add some orange hair to relate him more![]()
Definetly will! THanks for checking it out. I want to make his hair spiky and orange. I'm just not sure how to go about doing it, and if it should be done before or after posing him. I want to pose him similarly to the original Street Fighter 2 artwork.
Hi womball.
Nice stuff you have going here.
Overall maybe the back of your portrait heads might be a little small. I am doing the skull tutorial atm and am really surprised at how big the brain area is. Also the shape of the head is different to how I imagined it. Its a pretty good excesize in itself. Maybe you would find it as usefull as I am.

Cheerio Chris
Update to the head. The character's name is Herbert West.

Still working on his glasses. Might give him a hand and a syringe later on too.

womball the head is looking nice but has room for improvement. It is good that you are trying to capture imperfections of the face. Some of the observations you have about the face are right but some are off like the wings of the nose. It may look that way in the photo but photos lie alot due to lens distortion and lighting. I would suggest you to go for a very steril generic loooking face for experiment. Once you get comfortable with the tool and overall topology of any face it will be easier to deal with real face in my opinion.
I could touch up my generic female model more in the meantime, to get a feel for the basic shapes more. I guess the wings of the nose issue are the shape of the wings and the connection points to the nasal labial folds? As for persepective I was going back and forth between perspective and orthographic view. The perspective view seems to have more distortion than a typical lens, so I was using a 110 mm equivelant lens. I may have to up that I see. The movie the character is from tends to use a lot of close up shots probably with some lens distortion and its anamorphic widescreen. I also want to touch up the lips, jaw line, hair, and ears.
Blanka is essentially posed. I do need to touch up the anatomy a bit, and add clothes and hair. But I think this is pretty anamilistic and true to the crouched over pose he has. Haven't had much time to work on things due to work and holidays.
