Absolutely amazing!!!! The likeness is top notch. But i'm speechless with the whole process. It's things like that that makes a man's work worthy.
Thanks a ton for sharing this awesome making of.

can you please explain the process of alignment you used? which amount of FOV? how did you set up multiple references?

I don't know what FOV is but... I like to use an ortho set up like this and assign positions in ZApp link.

    zcentralOrtho.jpg

The camera distortion is the problem. I think the facial features are good realitive to each other, that is the eyebrows down to the chin. They're on about the same plane. so you can set a view for the front features.
The face is not correct relative to the ears from the front, and the ear is not correct to the face on the side. They're both too big because of lens distortion.
By looking at the contours though you can determine everything you need. The side contour gives you the shape of the head but also how the facial features fit on it, that is how big they are compared to the whole head.
The front contour gives you the size of the ear relative to the whole head shape.

    outerContours.jpg

Then you can start placing things like how far back the eye corners, and mouth corners are on the side.
I look at 3/4 views also to determine the sculptural form of everything. Keep checking front and side lineup though.
So then it's all sculpting. I may do a Gnomonology tutorial on this...
    Good luck!

thanks a lot on this set up you used. i'll try it myself.
Right now the only way to set up multiple images i had was using mudbox. mostly because i could set up multiple cameras.. but if i could make this alignment on zbrush, then it's what i was looking for

    Can't wait for this tutorial.
