    Default mxdirector's sketch book

i just thought i should start putting my work out there for criticism.
currently i am just modeling heads, and getting a idea of the human form. each model i do gets a little better. would love some advice on modelling eyes?
any ideas, suggestions, or what ever, give me a reply.
heres some i have done over the past few days.

i thought i would upload this, ive been working on it for a couple of hours, but now that i compare it to my previous work, i realise i actually havent done anything. ive just been adding and then smoothing it out, and basically taking away what i just put on. well i just wasted my day, to think i was going to go out, but i thought i would stay indoors and apparently do nothing on my locke protrait.

I knew who this was just by the tiny thumbnail (being a huge fan of Lost). Can't wait to see the finished work.

man model. just thought i would do a man and a study of the anatomy.
i did this completly from memory, and i am currently trying to look for some good images that show the muscle forms.

sadly i am no way near muscely enough to look at my self and see what is going on, there are some areas i am confused about.

its a work in progress. because i hav no memory on my computer i cant go that high in terms of polys, so its a relativly low detailed model.

i am looking for some early feedback, so any problems you can see, i can solve now. image1.JPG image2.JPG image3.JPG

Hey mxdirector, I'm in the same boat as you in terms of limited memory (The Tim Russert sculpture you commented on is only 1 mil "active points"). Have you tried adjusting the compact memory size under preferences > mem? As far as help with anatomy what really helped me a lot were some of the Andrew Loomis books that are available for download off the net, Sara Simblet's Anatomy for the Artist really helped me out a lot as well. I personally found that Zac Petroc's "Digital Sculpting : Human Anatomy" has helped me the most along with Ryan Kingslien's "Sculpting a Female bust in Zbrush" (probably my new favorite) I try to get my hands on anything those two guys put out because they're my favorite digital artist and they do a great job at going through their thought process as they do a sculpture.
