Your work looks great, the cammy model would be fantastic as a 3D print.

    Hello.

    Thanks all for the comments.

Here's a wip of ryu. It started from a box model doodle then retopologised. Hope you like it.

nice anatomy and clothes, very kool, nice interpretation of ryu, the only thing i can suggest why he doesnt look spot on is that he always has a very cut, square jaw in the animes and comics, if you want to make him look more classic ryu, then you have to give him a square jaw.

Hey guys. Thanks for the crits.

nerveink: I agree. Its still wip. Contemplating going more real. But then isn't that what we always see?

aiman: Haha. I've been struggling with his jaw. Sometimes he has this brad pitt jaw. Other times its more natural. I got this street fighter alpha movie this weekend and in there his jaw is normal. Go figure . Cheers for the crit though

mik76: Its all for fun . Nothing major in mind. Haha. I guess the new street fighter 4 game got me hooked. After seeing how they modelled ryu I thought I'd give it a bash myself. Soo Ta daaa! Haha.

    Angry Dude....

Did I tell ever tell you that I hate you well not really... I think this model is awesome..Although I'm not that great of a zbrusher I think one critique I would note is on the chest.. Its wide and and seems more too cut, compared to how the rest of his overall shape is (like the shoulder, back and neck)...Like from the back he looks great and when you turn the model around, the front seems off a little..and I think its just the chest thats throwing me a little..

    But, what do you think?

Oh, With his full uniform he looks awesome similar to the capcom vs marvel type Ryu..love the face and accessories (belt, headband, gloves, etc.)

    great stuff

    Default Hey,

I know this thread hasn't been updated but I have a newbie question
    For Brett

When you say box model doodle, What do you mean exactly??

you doodled this whole body and head (of Ryu) in zbrush from a simple box and lastly retopped the whole thing? or do you mean something different?

thats crazy insance work if you sculpted this thing completely from a box. but I don't doubt that its possible but its seems like it would be extremely task consuming..

Do you have any pics of how this model started out??
