    Default Darukin's Accessories Thread

Hi all. Thought I would open a new thread where I will post collection of accessories I create and sculpt in Zbrush such as weapons / armors and even some character composed of these etc. Thought I would start with this assault rifle i sculpted today:

Awesome gun. I would take out the arrows. They dont seem necessary and they are very out of place.

cool concept, but please take those arrows out, they really detract from the realism of the piece.

Thanks guys, and lol cant remember why I randomly placed those out of place arrows, took them out now though and updated image thanks again.

And LeoAmd, unfortunately it isn't all Zbrush but was first simlply box-modeled in Silo mainly composed of separate box-modeled components on top of each other (including cylinders eg for scope) and some extruding and edge loops around edges which need sharpness (or you can crease edges) etc you can probably do similar base in Zbrush with edge loop modeling if you check the video/ online tutorials
. Sculpting involved lots of flatten brush with applied values with lazy mouse etc and also masking parts then sculpting out then using Std , flatten and pinch brush along edges (with lazy mouse) etc and some alpha std brush work.

the sight is my favorite component - the angles
are cool. would be nice to see from a couple
    different angles or some wires?

keep it up - accessories are a characters best friend!

    Thanks guys.

And I decided to just add to this thread 2 characters of mine which have lots of accessories and stuff: I thought might as well compile together here even if they're in different posts also:

    Top notch work!

Only crit would be the shoes on the gun/sword guy. It looks a bit to sharp, crushing the toe.

    Just my 2cents.

But as i said top Notch work, congrets 5*

    thanks Devi.

Hopefully I will fix shoes then and maybe pose the second character more dynamically. Who knows maybe place the 2 in a scene together :P

    Darukin,
Looks like your having lots of fun! I'm enjoying all of your modeling, I didn't see the arrow problems first mentioned (the ones you've already corrected), so I like the whole lot. I don't see any major problems with your musculature, but compaired to some on this forum I'll always consider myself a student too . I do have a question. Are you going to finish these guys n' guns out by poly painting and final rendering, or are you just a model guy? Keep it up I enjoy your work.
Keep pushin' those pixols, and tappin' to the code!
