Nice videos. I like the little zig-zag you threw down to start the serratus muscles interlocking. I'll have to try that.

    Default Hawkeye Update

    Thanks Dustin.

    ---

Here is where good ol hawkeye is standing. Finally ready for some Zbrushing again. I'll try to finish up the sculpt this week and get to the lowpoly.

    Default Hawkeye Update

Still have to do the hair. I'm not sure how I want to approach it...alpha planes or sculpt. I've never sculpted hair that goes forward on the head...can't be that different from backwards I suppose. eh...we'll see.

Gotta play with the mask some, I'm not digging it as is. It looks like he has a turtle neck pulled up to his hair line.

Anyway, boots still need love, all the leather and metal as well. Gotta tweek his showing skin a bit too. I think the anterior head on his deltoid is too strong. and the posterior isn't strong enough. Holster just got imported too, so that needs love yet.

    CnC.

Looking pretty cool goast! I agree with ya on the mask, looks odd right now at the top of his head. Look forward to seeing this guy done

Looking really nice, man. Yeah just do some sketches over your current mask and play with some shapes to break it up. The little packs on his back are throwing me off. They look fine on the belt, but they don't feel functional on his back, imo.

GregStrangis - Thanks man, your morbius is looking sweet. Now he just needs a harem :P

dustinbrown - Thanks again. I agree with you on the back pouches but they're in the concept that I've got and I'm trying to stay as true to it as I can. To break up his sym I was going to put a big F'in knife on one side of his chest straps, but again, it's not in the design so I wont. I might ditch the supper small pouches that I have on his back though. Each drawing for reference I have of Hawkeye is a little different so I think I can get away with that much and still maintain the character as a whole. Nice catch!

Psycotik2002 - Thans. I tried for an hour or so in XSI to spline and edge model them and they kept looking like butt. 30min in Zbrush and now they're done I love clay.

Just a quick update. Soon the LP! I have to make some changes to his mask, goggles, sculpt the hair, and sculpt his holsters first though...

    Default Lp

LP is done, normal and AO bakes are done for the body as well. I need to generate the normals and AO for his gun and then get to painting!

Awesome stuff Goast! Inspiring videos! Been awhile since I've read the comics, but Hawkeye has switched his bow for a gun? that's kind of sad...

Your sculpting technique is amazing! I watched all your videos again and again. Hope someday i will develop x-ray vision like you. Learn alot, brilliant. Thank you so much for the videos.

I'm curious what are main brush you use because it looks like your brush size is always the same.

    Thx in advance

    guhhh - Thanks

jtruthnick - Thanks. Na, he didn't switch...well, this version of him did. Family got killed, he went a bit nuts...it happens :P

BadHairDay - Thanks. I typically use move, and clay tubes at lower subD levels. Clay and standard (or variations of it) at higher subD levels. A lot of smooth, flatten and pinch for other stuff here and there as well. And I am always changing my brush size, at least 2x per minute or so. If i need a bigger stroke I typically just "scale" the object back on the canvas and work from there, or scale it forward when I need a smaller brush.
