Thumbs up Roughing out your base mesh in Zbrush

    Hi, everyone,

My wonderful friend has created a new video tutorial which I think you would all enjoy.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oQzY1xRAVg

You can pass on feedback to me, which I will then pass on to him or you can give your feedback to him in the comments section in Youtube.

    Have fun!

    Cheers,
    Revanto

If we had X symmetry in real life then I could brush my teeth much quicker.
If we had Y and Z symmetry in real life then sex would be WAY more interesting.

You have to click it to access the Youtube version.

To be honest, it seems like just as much work as box-modeling, and like less of an advantageous starting point for sculpting in Zbrush, but I'm sure this method will appeal to someone.

Perhaps it's double-clicking, but doing one of the two got me through to the youtube page. Doesn't matter much regardless as it seems the link in the original post has been changed to the Youtube page.

Yeah, I think some people will like it and some won't. I tried it myself and once you get a rhythm going with the masking and hiding, it's quite fun.

I find that sometimes sculpting with a continuous is more tedious because you are restricted to edge flow. This is good if you have a mesh and just want to play around with the possibilities without worrying about edgeflow or a high poly count. You can get clean edges because of the nature of mesh.

If there was a quicker way to mask off everything except for what you want to work on (ie like a single click action) then this might be more acceptable to more people.

But I like it so I support it.
