Yes it is amazing Frenchy. What would we do without your experiments??
You seem to stumble across some really interesting techniques.

Thanks Frenchie..I have used the same technique for sometime now. Frenchie 'Stumble across" means to discover by accident
    A very colorful image!

cool gardening technique, Pilou! if you want to watch the biggest (and most stinking) blossom opening, theres a webcam here until end of May, probably

in addition, here is a little botanical dedication for your secret celebration

all 2d-fiberbrush (and a little smudge and highlighter, too )

Nice work JuJu, it is a pleasure seeing your works again..I hope all is well!!
    EDIT:
I tried a digital photograph using Frenchie's method without any post work and this is the 3D result! there are certainly a lot of posibilities opened up using this method.

For comparison this is what the photograph looked like.

    Hello Juandel
Happy come back and very artistic backlit forest tree
And great base of vegetal photography !
    See you soon !

    He DeeVee
    You have enlarged the concept
I have said "take a photo" for somebody who can't paint a little flower
You right Zbrush can accept any photo for any manipulation in 3D
(with the Make 3D Alpha or past on a 3D Plan or other 3DObjects).
It's a pitty that these possibilities are not more used !
    Have happy Photo Zbrushing

    Hi Frenchy,

It sounds silly but I can't make it these simple things. When clickng Alpha--> Make3d
it always says:1/ texture need to be 252*252 1024*1024... 2/ the active texture/mesh is too small, should decrease polygon....

No matter how I increase the size, decrease the mesh, the new Alpha/3D object looks not shape at all, and it just looks so dim, urgly with its texture.

Can you tell me what's wrong? I use document size to set the size ( crop size ), I also try Texture size to set width and height but still keep receiving that 2 warning messages. Also, if I want to use a photo, should I use Import Document or Import Texture ?

    Many thanks

    Hi Enter
For make a new big texture try that in this order
Choose the texture that you have (the too small)
    Enter the size wished (1024*1024)
Press Menu:Texture/"clone", you must have the new texture at the good size
(If it's not work tell me because I make this by memory
For the Photo if you have the complet version !
    Use Texture Import.
You can also Import Document and make MRgbz Grabber.
    Hope this Help !

    Hi Frenchy,

I set the size using Texture menu and this time I don't get a warning message. However,
end image looks very strange,as it was cut into many many small squares, here:

    Any idea?
    Thanks

    hi, enter!

have you tried changing the texturing method yet? as an alpha 3d at default resolution (64 by 25) is rather flat (i did make-3d at 128 by 25) i selected uvp(lanar) in tool>modifiers>texture when doing this below quickone instead of the default auvtiles (without changing anything texturesizewise):

you might want to try other methods there, too. hope this helps!
