Only show your best work is a good rule of thumb. I would start the reel with the head you have at about 2:03 or something, since I feel it's your strongest piece. Perhaps remove the shots of the feathered dino, and the comped dino, to be harsh. Some turnaround would be nice too. Feels kind of dead with the stills.

Anyways, great sculpting, I'm just feeling that you should make it shorter and more interesting

Thanks Salmon. I may have a rethink and try some turntables and stuff.

    Hey man,

You've got a great body of work, but I don't think your presentation is doing it justice. I think my thoughts are similliar to those previoisly mentioned. Consolidate some things a bit. The comped dino was looking kind of weak compared to the rest of your work. The close of up of the female fairy bust maybe wasn't quite as convincing looking as the rest of your stuff. The demon head mentioned above was a very strong piece that maybe could have been shown earlier. Going from ZBrush to traditional scluptures then back to ZBrush maybe isn't the most fluid or organized approach. To me, the word "test" in "polypainting test" implies that you don't really know what your doing, which is pretty misleading. You obviously do. The dinos are great. Texturing/posing/rendering them I think would make for some pretty professional pieces. The traditional sculptures are very nice as well. Maybe lose the writing over your work. And turntables I think would show more of your great work.

These of course are just one amateur artists opinions, so I could be way off base. Either way, nice work.

Quite a body of work there! The Gnomes are too funny.
The only thing that I had to do while viewing was not drink my coffee (fear of spitting coffee every where) and turn the sound off. That song haunts me now.

    Thank you most sincerely.

Can I ask, does anyone know of any free or cost effective editing software that would allow me to edit my z brush quicktime turntables together?. Ive been using windows movie maker and of course they dont support this format.

And...I knew that tune would haunt you foreverrrrrrrrrrr........

I'm not sure but if you have Nero you can edit/slpice movies. You willl have to check on format though.

    Default wip update

Havent posted for a while...Ive been stuck in "actual" 3D sculpting world making miniature Iguanodons for a model kit company.

Thought I would post the iguanodon as well as some z brush stuff. I had the interesting (yawwwwnnn) job of sculpting bear skeletons so I decided to start a centaur model that i could switch back and to while I was doing the dreary stuff. lots of work on it yet but i thought I would post the progress.

Hi Folks...just some work in Prog from my latest project. Im building a scene showing a canabalistic male T rex eating his own offspring. This is one of the lucky juveniles. A lot more work to go yet.

The most exciting thing for me is that it will eventually be printed as a 3D poster.

While Im on...thank you to whoever wrote the transpose master plug in...Bless your cotton socks!

Dont know if this is the place to do this but I wanted to recommend Eric kellers book to anyone who hasnt seen it yet.

Absolutely wonderful for an old newbie like me who like to thumb through page after page of written text rather than squinting at a monitor. I finally understand mat caps....displacement maps and many other things I used to pretend to understand.

    Thanks Eric.
