    Default Old Git w.i.p

    Hey all,
For my second zbrush character I wanted to create a caricature but with some realistic details.
I was reading a story in the newspaper that was about this rude old man who took the council to court...
anyway, I found the story amusing so decided he would be my muse.
The article had no photo, so I rummaged around in some photography books from my student days.
I cobbled together a few ideas and this is an early result.

It's miles away from my day to day work and not a gun or sword in sight.
Still a huge amount of work to do and please ignore the eyebrows.
It's late and I need sleep.

    Comments needed and wanted,
    Cheers

Hey Pariahrob...i think for a 1st sculpt thats amazing. However, old people usually have horizontal wrinkles on their forheads, your git aint got none pimpin!!!

And his ears are a tad too wide and potruding forwards, almost like a bat and maybe look at smoothing the hardness on the chin it draws the eye's attention, i dunno if u wanted it to be the focal point or not.

Oh and are u going for realism/abstract? Like is this a reference of a real pic or just an imagined face? Good nonetheless!!!

I have attached a photo of one of our older brethren...

Bluetelly, thanks for the tips. I am definitely going to work on the forehead more but think I will keep the chin and maybe ears.

I am going for a mix of realism with some cartoonish caricature.

Maybe that will change as it progresses though.

I'll keep posting, so keep commenting.

    Cool Cool!!!

Cool, yeah as long as you keep workin at it the model should turn out great.

If u are keeping the ears and chin i believe a caricature will work out great seriously...cause as u know caricatures always accentuate certain features, noses, ears etc. While realism is...well...realism

But i will wait in anticipation for further posts!
