    Default Ugly Mickey

    Hi,

I saw a blog called "Mickey Feio" ( "Ugly Mickey" in portuguese ) wich the main idea is to create an ugly version of the character Mickey Mouse, and that's my version.

The render was made in 3ds max inspired by Damien Canderle and Dmitriy Kuznetsov.

Criticisms and comments are always welcome.

    Hope you like it.

Ha ha love this guy and your concept of him he really is ugly but also cute too. Love the ears and the face. The upper chest and shoulders need a little attention, they seem a little flat for the flab. the back of him is great. For your first posting I am in awe I would love to have him as a sculpture on my desk he would be a great conversional piece. Keep up the sculpting I believe I will see great things from you. 5* from me not only for a cool sculpt but for making me laugh I needed that.

Mickey needs to cut down on the cheese I think. Also looks like he might be lactose intolerant. LOL

Man.. Thats the best thing someone ever said about my work... I'm really really really glad you liked that and I hope I can overcome your expectations on my coming projects...

alexleia - Thanks a lot man... It means a lot to me your opinion and I'm glad you liked it

Derek Frenzo - LOL... He gotta cut down the cheese, soda, fast food and everything else with callories LOL... And I dont think I could create a character thats lactose intolerant... I cant live without milk or cheese so I think my characters couldn't either... But its a very good idea though LOL

I would like to share with you guys the workflow I did to create the base mesh for this model... Hope you like it...

Uh-oh, you're treading on hallowed ground here. It is written, "Don't mess with the mouse!" Also, it's the unwritten law; all cartoon characters, especially "Disney" characters must wear white gloves on their hands! Why, it's considered worse than public nudity to show one's bare hands in the cartoon world. You is messin' wit' fire, boy!...And, I like it!

You should call him "Unsettling Mickey."

Nice work. I like the pose and facial expression.
No one ever expected a pencil to draw for them.

i like this idea and the render, personally i hate mickey mouse. one crit is that the dots on his shorts could be a little lower, like mid length, right now they are just a little strange and suggestive.

Webhead - LOL ... Man... A friend of mine told me exactly the same thing: "Put gloves in his hands".. But it would be too much for this guy... He is already fat, ugly and wearing a ridiculous hat... Put that gloves would be asking too much of him LOL ....

I'm kidding... I just thought that it would be a cool exercise to model a non cartoon hand...

industripop - Thanks man... But I dont think I'm goona texture him... This was an study to try to do a clay render as well... I don't think I've achieved it... But sure I could texture him in the future

poda - Thanks.. I'm glad you liked...

spaceboy412 - I'm not one of the biggest fans either... But he trully is a
part of the animation/entertainment history... And I do prefer him to some weird animation series going on TV nowadays LOL

And here is a turntable I did with Ralf Stumpf's amazing classic bronze material

I love the bronze mat on him in your turn table makes me want him on my desk even more. People would walk by and have to take a second look lol. I hope you dislike more cartoons lol and make more funny sculpts. keep sculpting and above all have fun.
I hope I can overcome your expectations on my coming projects...
p.s. no expectations I just believe in the talent you have already shown you have.
