    Default Beast Rider

This is a personal project I've been working on just for fun. I used a various traditional sculpture and photos of rhinos as reference, but apart from that, its my first stab at designing something like this myself. I'm more used to working from someone else's concept.

This piece will form part of the MONKEYZOMBIEROBOT exhibition, and hopefully it will be 3D printed in time for the show!

Base meshes and accessories modelled in maya, organic stuff in zbrush. Rendered in max with vray.

Mr micro26: no plans to texture it at the moment. I think the surface detail is more visible when its shaded with just one colour.

jeffc: Here are the meshes I imported to ZBrush from Maya

And this is the level 1 gemeometry after sculpting, with accessories.

A few closer shots straight from ZBrush with erklaerbar's awesome skin material.
