    Smile My WIP Chandro's concept Character 1

    working on my portfolio series
    ive modeled the base mesh in Silo
    9,836 thousand poly (whole body)
    doing some details for my concept character
    which im planning to render in maya's mental ray
    it will have a beard and some hairs in different part of his body
    just finish with his head and working on the body.
    this is my first work with zbrush
    5 division level
    2518016 polys
    can't go higher than 5 level of division
    lack of memory

    comments and crits are welcome.

    heres an update
    i decided not to make his body so proportional
    by making his shoulder a bit wider
    an old muscular creature and with an uneven muscle and fat distribution.
    ill be working on the back now.
    the layering in zbrush is awesome!

    Very nice hand textures I must say!
    Looking at your work inspires me a lot..I'll definitely learn zbrush soon and post my works here
    Having the skin painted on this will definitely bring it to another level.
    I'm looking forward to it.

    really lacking some resolution doing the leg bumps and specially the feet area, got some creasing doing extra detail. i hope i added some edge loops in the base mesh
    but quite satisfied with the result (this area will also be covered with hair in the final render)
    ill use transpose maybe later.
    (yes he has only four toes )

    time to update, working on Maya's sss skin shader.
    all texture done in zbrush (polypainting)
    4096X4096
    texture size for whole body
    not really intended for extreme close-up
    2 spotlight front and back.
    next will be the hairs, eyebrows, nose hair, beard etc.

    change the spotlight intensity and make it quadratic.
    i used normal map and displacement map N-Subdivion of 3 (cannot go more than 3)
    i rigged the character and did some blenshape
    this not part of the plan but want to explore the animation
    and this may take a while before i add the hairs

    Very cool, nice texture and all,

    I think to improve the render, i`d add SSS, it i`ll make so much nicer.
