Squiddy 3 is pretty awesome! Glad you stopped perving and started posting!

Images 3, 4, 9 and 15 are blowing my mind.
The effect in image 4 is psychedelic and I would kill for a tutorial on how this is done. hint hint.
I'm truly at a loss figuring out how you got that effect of a million little illustrated bubble pills exploding out in perfect chaos.
hollly ****!!!!
man you are great!wow!
wow thanks so much for the kind words!
Let me see what I can do about putting together
a tut for you ED-
thanks again![]()
This started screwing around with zSpheres-
decided to do a hi-res out of mental ray and
a paint over in PS to avoid melting my brain
trying to texture it... anyway, the full size
image is 10800x7200, if anyone wants to take
a look grab it here.

Good work - there is some interesting stuff going on here. I look forward to seeing what else you come up with.![]()
you have some fascinating experimentation going on in here
please keep it up and let us know how you accomplish some of these![]()

But super curious about how the effect of those little bubbles was achieved. I understand you can apply a texture and material to get the metallic rainbow effect, and I'm assuming the seperation between each little dot was done with a mask...perhaps. After that I get lost trying to figure it out exactly. But it's fun trying heh. Your tut will be well appreciated.
Those are out of this world! Very original.
more zSphere weirdness...

Awesome metal snowflake thing. How did you go about making it?![]()

That's crazy!
Really thinking outside the box, I really like that tweak of modeling after having seen 2000 wrinkled skinny faces. It's nice to see that Zbrush is not only a figurative art tool, really cool surreal expirements going on there. Bravo!
I hope you have something in store for Nvidia's contest over at the cgsociety.
ED -
sure thing, I'll throw together something for you this
evening, as I recall it was pretty simple - masking by
rows and columns at the sdiv that had the right density
and then extruding them -- spot on, just multiple copies
instanced on a marker. The gel looks is just one of the
preset shaders, every time I instanced it I used a different
base color. The final coloring is tweaked in PS, as always,
gotta do a little finishing
Daevasmodeus -
Started modeling with zSpheres and made that first shape,
then took it into maya, tweaked it, made a couple copies
and started trying to link things together in a 'cell' type
fashion (trying to make it somewhat organic feeling).
No maps, just a reflective shader ramp>normal camera.
Theres so many possibilities it's hard to pull the plug,
just kind of ham around until I like it enough to leave
it alone for more than 2min

I'll have to check that out, not familiar with it..
am kind of 'new 2 the scene'
thanks for all the feeback!
