Default My first Zbrush model/project WIP

Hello all! This is the first model i have made on Zbrush up till now. I made the base mesh on Silo 2, which im also new to, and imported it to Zbrush. I have only made the helm base mesh for now, and plan on doing this guy piece by piece. For now i only sculpted the central section of the gas mask, as you can probably see, and the rest is still not sculpted.

But before i sculpt more, i'd like to ask something which i hope you can help me with as im still new to Zbrush . I have had a problem with symmetry on the x-axis. It is shifted to the left, so i can't sculpt with symmetry, which i think is because of the pipe, and i dont know how to center the symmetry. I would really appreciate help with this!

Well, here is the model itself. Im looking forward to any advice you have on how i can make him better (i quite need advice ) and im open for suggestions.

Hope you like it so far.

Great first try. Personally, I avoid any mechanical/hard-edged modelling in Zbrush but some people just seem more confident with it.

Anyway, in regards to symmetry problem, try use the 'smart resym' function that's found in the deformation menu.

If you extracted the tubes or created them separately in ZB then you probably won't be able to get symmetry working on the tubes. You might need to export the mesh into another 3d prog, erase one tube and mirror-copy the other then import it back into ZB. However, this is messy and it doesn't take into acount your subdivision levels. Once you export your mesh out, you lose your subdiv levels.

    Cheers,
    Revanto

If we had Y and Z symmetry in real life then sex would be WAY more interesting.

Thanks a lot Revanto and Sigmund! Im already hooked to Zbrush 3 hehe, great program!
Thanks for advice Revanto , I'll try the smart resym thing, though i want to avoid the second option, because im not sure it'll work in my case, But thats fine since its only the helm that doesnt have symmetry, so i can deal with it . But i hope the rest of the body isnt the same .
    Thanks !
