Scared Silly Entry by shikuri uraji.

Hello everyone.
I am Shikuri. I am sharing ZBrush with Pigma.

I will make "Ikkyu and the Hell prostitute". It is based by the theme of "Scared Silly" . "Ikkyu" is an existing Zen priest in Japan from and 1394 til 1481.
He is famous about the eccentric character's apostate priest. Everybody knows him in Japan, because his anecdote of childhood became cartoon television.


"The hell prostitute" is a woman who existed in the same age as him.
She was cheated by the burglar and became a prostitute.
She repented of herselves unhappy fortune, and she introduced herself as "Hell prostitute" .
She said, " Hell was I" and was doing guest's other party.


He wrote poetry "This hell is more beautiful than it hears it by the talk when actually seeing."
And she replied with poetry"Everyone of this world falls into the hell."

She died when she was young.
Ikkyu put her corpse on the prominent place in the field.
And, he showed to her guests the process for her went rotten.
Ikkyu admonished the thing that they had seen only her surface.
It was done by the will of her.

"The Hell prostitute" is a subject of a picture loved by painters in Japan.
I referred to them.
She and the skull are thought to be a set.


I will surround their by various the dead as human's desire and a symbol of the pain.
I do not sketch rough always so much at the work production with ZBrush.
Details are not drawn though an easy sketch was done this time by the one to think about rough atmosphere.

I have the thing that should be said to you.
Because I am using MacOSX, my ZBrush doesn't do the up-grade to 3.1.
Please do not laugh even if I am technically inferior.

First of all, I made up the face of IKKYU.
I faithfully reproduced it from the portrait of him of the in existence with
ZBrush.
This portrait picture was drawn in the age when IKKYU was alive.
Therefore, I think that it looks like him actual very much.



To match to the composition of the picture, I make IKKYU a smile.
It colored afterwards.

The body of IKKYU was made.
The pose of IKKYU sits, and the other hand has the dance and another
has liquor.
Clothes are the peculiar fashions that the monk of the Buddhism often puts on.


I made the hand of IKKYU?severally.
Moreover, the container and the cane to drink sake were made.
The container is lacquer ware. The stick attached the scull.

I made its skeleton's that was a kind of dead.
Head, Torso Theatre, hand, foot, and scapula.
...and Aristocrat's hat.

Now, I will make "Hell prostitute".
It settles down because of the life in which it has a hard time though
her face is a young woman.

I made the face expressionless to the spectators are able to image easily her mind.
This is a technique often used by traditional entertainments "Noh" of
Japan.


Masking does Sphere3D.
Wig is made by Inflat looks like stripe.


Now, I make her body.
Her KIMONO is a design of the hell.
The picture of three kinds of flames and the picture of guard KING ENMA of the hell were
drawn with Photo shop, and those are put a texture.

The high-class prostitute are attended by young girls named "KAMURO" .
These girls are the apprenticeships.
I decided to express "KAMURO" as the dead.

"KAMURO" of one person is thin, and her symbolize exhaustion.


Moreover, another "KAMURO" is fat, and her symbolize avarice.

Shikuri, a very great welcome to Scared Silly. I know much of your old work and I consider you to be one of the greatest exponents of ZBrush. The speed and skill with which you are producing these pieces only confirms my opinion. The very best of luck - I'm sure you will produce one of the best pieces in only 3 days!!!
