    Default Space Horror

    Hi,

I have been learning Zbrush for a short while now.

This thread follows my progress for my first full project. Constructive criticism is more than welcome

Here I start with Zspheres to establish the form of the base mesh:

The base mesh ready to exported to external modeler software:

Next, imported back into Zbrush with further modeling completed ready for sculpting:

Here is a test sculpt on the head with RGB painting and sculpting:

Next, a test render in Modo, just to see if the displacement and colour maps work:

man, how did you do the glass? somebody answered this to me but I honestly didm't understand the rocess.
so far it's looking fine for one of your first models. i'd say try something abit more realystic next so you start learning propper anatomy and whatnot.

    Hi fieldy3000,

Thankyou. The glass is just a preset used in an external renderer.

I'll probably stick with cartooney proportions, but learning more about Anatomy is always a good thing.

Here is early progress on the scene where I shall be placing my character:

    Hi,

Well, I wasn't happy with the lighting setup, so started from scratch and I think I shall also ditch the darkness of the Armour. Go for more of a Storm Trooper look. I think that gruesome on white is more disturbing some how
