    Thanks, guys!

In case anybody's wondering, the 'block' effect is really easy--just make sure the the 'Smt' setting in 'Tool>Unified Skin' is set to '0', then play around with the 'Resolution' slider until you get the desired effect:

    unified_skin.jpg

I also subdivided the model (once with 'Geometry>Smt' turned off, then a few times with it turned on) to smooth the edges.

    SolidSnakexxx: Thanks, SolidSnakexxx!

    scottleroc: Thank you!

spaceboy412: Hehe, thanks for the suggestion, it's a pretty cool effect. I need to find other uses for it...

    loki_22: Thanks!

    gregoconn: Thanks, gregoconn!

Etcher: Ha! Lego also came to my mind, as well. Thanks, Etcher!

maxinkuk: Thanks, maxinkuk! I dunno about 'genius' though.

Thought I'd post some of my messy little PaintStop beta images here... :P

Also posted a tutorial below which I made during beta to show how you can ink and color a piece using layers.

Hey Geoff, you`re really a great 3D AND 2D artist! Seriously!
I love all your paintings and your tutorials are always so helpful.

Oh and the unified skin stuff is awesome. SO COOL! Thanks for posting.

Thanks folks! Here's a rather chaotic video of the first image. I think it's pretty clear that I didn't really know what I was doing until around 1:30 when I switch gears. The actual time was about an hour.

    Captain Sensible: Thanks, Cap'n!

SpaceMan: Thanks! Are you maybe referring to the Nick Cave portrait? If so, that was just using the oil paints, I think. A lot of the stuff I did was experimental though so I'm not sure how helpful WIPs would be. The best tip I can give is to try everything and don't be afraid to mix brushes. The 'Watercolor>Water Drops' brush is a great blender, for example.

Moni-Poroni: Thanks, Moni! Ditto! I think you're gonna overtake many of us at the rate you're going.

Etcher: Thanks, Etcher! I need to start adding stories to my creations like you do.

nice, looks better than the movie, at least you know its her.
love the nick cave! and the girl with green hair, she looks like olivia wilde and that brown one looks like mischa barton, and of course i love the other pieces too, i had a feeling a few weeks ago looking at your deviant site that you were beta testing. i have to say i'm glad they upgraded the ol' zketchpad. it was nice to paint in z again, i've done it a bit over the years but got frustrated with various issues, so thanks for helping them get it together.

is the brown sketchy one called classic supposed to look like mucha sketches?

Hey Geoff, just saw the video. I love it! I could watch these kind of videos the whole day long. I`m looking forward to seeing much more.
The z-illy Baroness looks fantastic. Great style!
