    Cool Hello Zbrush

Hi all. I just dived into the Zbrush world for the first time yesterday and all I can say is that I'm impressed beyond belief. And I'm not talking about what one can do in Zbrush as I've seen what it can do before, but by how easy it is to get started and get almost decent results compared to other packages. Anyway, I come from an industrial design background so this "organic" modeling is kinda new to me but I know that I'm hooked.

This is a quick rendering (3d max/VRAY) of the first "thing" I did (don't ask about the feet ) and so far the only thing that bugs me is that I don't seem to be able to get a qood quality displacement map but I'm still working on it.

    Thanks.

Oh, and I started working on George's (the guy above) cousin. This time - featuring feet. Ugly feet, but I gotta start somewhere.

Here is an update on the new guy. I think I'll name him Henry. Tried posing him as well.

Gave polyplainting a little try and also played again with importing the model in 3d Max. It seems better than the first one but I'm still not happy.

Started working on a new family member. This one is in pain and that gives me a chance to work on face expressions

A little update on the guy with the skin overdose problem. Maybe that's why he's being beamed aboard the Zhakkamar Organic Recycling ship.

Still a long way to go...

Looks great I can't understand zbrush like if I wanted to paint something I imported it wont let me paint the whole thing and still rotate it any thought?

In edit mode you can both rotate the model and polypaint it. And there's also the whole projection master thingy but I don't know anything about it.

I'm done with the modeling phase. I'm not too happy with the mouth (and not at all with the teeth) but I want to go on to painting and some sort of scene rendering.

    And a little Vray test...

Great work reflexdave, the feet are amazing. If you want to tell me i want to know something i am just curious about. Did you pose the model after modeling or did you start modeling the posed model?
    Nothing.

Thanks dionisis. I started with Zspheres in the final pose. I'm not yet confident with modeling something in the starting pose and then playing with it.

I started working on a new piece since I'm not really in the mood to texture the last guy. But I'll get to him eventually.

Anyway, these are the "Disgruntled Twins" and this is with only minor modeling. I'm working on them with symmetry (twins afterall ) but I'll pose each one slightly differently after the major features are done.

    That is very cool.

You might want to learn about retopology to fix the level of detail on the stretched skin.

I'd tell you, but I'm still learning it myself.

Yeah, I know I should really start to look into it. It scares me.

Anyway, I kinda bothched this one. I want to go back to the base mesh and redo it.
