very cool, love the feel of them
These are great, troy. They all feel decisively massed and lively. Please keep them coming.
Very cool sketches My fav is the mammoth!

Lady of Naga - A Digital to Bronze Art:http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthr...5-Lady-of-Naga
love the mammoth, although eyes are forward again. would be nice to see the tusks finished considering you put in so much work in the body, really like it.
the gator is cool too, i like the way it seems that its floating on the riverbed.
the hand is great and really captures the fat and meat of strong hands, i wish i could do as well.
i also really like that your own style comes out in your work.
troy1617: Very cool, all three have a nice worked clay feel to them. Can't wait to see what your going to do with the new updates! <input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">

hey space thank you. yeah i know it seems to be getting habit i will try harder to keep track of this i will see what i can about getting the tusk detailed since i really like how it is starting to come out i plan on taking it further.. yeah the gator was demonstration for my brother since he is just now starting to learn.. yeah the hand was test of observation and adding mass to forms to create a good structure the funny thing about this is im right handed and i used my right hand for the reference..lol..
thanks space i try to improve with every piece i do so i appreciate that..![]()
thanks AngelJ i try to incorporate a traditional feel in my work and try something new each time i do a piece..
hey Les thank you i tried give some life to him well maintaining a sense of weight thanks bro hope you enjoy learning zbrush..
first sketches in 3.5..
the very first one was the very first thing i did when i first opened zbrush3.5..
on a side note im getting back in to clay and traditional sculpture i was wondering if any body new a good place to get clay on the web because all they have where i live is pottery clay which dries out really fast and is pain to use.. also if any of the traditional sculptors here could recommend me some types or kinds of clay to use that would work good for sculpting i would truly appreciate any insight you can give me on this..![]()

I haven't seen ZSII used like you have on the ship and truck models. Really interesting. I can't wait to use them on OSX! Cool work, let's see it sculpted!

awesome usage of the zspheres, very original! love the ship. and the dog, the teeth make me laugh. the last dog is looking really good too.
about the clay i guess it depends on what you want to end up with, do you want to fire the piece, or make a mold and a casting?
as blaine posted sculpey is really great and can be fired in a toaster oven. i've also heard of something called apoxie sculpt.
also for small details i've used a epoxie putty by tamiya which is really nice.
Troy1617: Hey bud, the best thing I like about your work and yourself is the fact you go for it, regardless of what the subject matter. Your like the Bo Jackson of Zbrush, Troy knows Zbrush! Its that outlook that as you look over your thread shows your progression. Something everyone should strive to do. Really enjoy seeing what your going for in the boat and truck. Overall very interesting things going on. I like the horse the most honestly has a nice contour shape and think a lot of zsketch will translate nicely into a finished sculpt. Though myself I dunno if i'd use as many zsketch spheres trying to accomplish what you did in regards to the horse or the dog. As always will be watching for more of your stuff, *cough* Centaur Centaur Centaur *cough*. Been busy over here but hopefully we can talk again soon!

hey lil bro dont know what u were going for when it came to the future spaceship it mayb something from starwars i dont know/? but my favorite is the horse n cart that must have took awhile lol all the details n designing of the cart n wheels. ur ship is really good nice job it looks like the wooden ships u would have seen back then in the pirate days. the whole ship is detailed nicely.the bull terrier dog is awesome
u do really really well when it comes to dogs man. u reallyb do have a natural talent when it comes to drawing or sculpting dogs!!
i should know ive seen the drawings u hav done they r really really good dont stop drawing them u r a natural when it comes to that bro!!!
keep up the goodwork ttyl
HEY jamespthornton yeah they were test to see what possible with the new features. you will really enjoy using them they are quick and great for block out form..
hey Blaine91555 thank you i will take a look at this i appreciate the link..
thank you spaceboy412 the ship is an idea im working on plus its a test to see how how much you can do with just zspheres.. i guess i would like to fire it but at the same time i heard sometimes doing it that way can cause your sculpture to explode.. yeah i have been hearing lots of sculptors are now using sculpey i guess not very many use water based clay any more.. i will have to check out this apoxie sculpt never heard of it. thanks again space for the info i very much appreciate it..
hey AngelJ thanks i really appreciate that because i really try to improve with every new peice i do along with trying new workflows.. yeah many of my freinds have said i have progressed which makes me happy that im noticable improvement.. yeah the boat and the truck was a try at useing the new spheres for something other then organic subjects.. yeah i actually concentrated on the horse alot with the forms and structure its still a work in progress but was a great a way to test the new sketch spheres.. yeah the thing i like about sketch spheres is you can use as many as you want to describe the form and get fairly detailed results while still having a fairly small file size.. Centaur what centaur lol.. hope things slow down for you talk to you soon buddy..
hey Les yeah i was trying to go for a sci fi type vehicle.. glad you like the horse yeah it did take a little bit of time to get right.. yeah thats what im going for i hope to have some what accurate model when i get done adding all the pieces together.. glad you like the dog it was just a quick sketch from a sphere.. yeah i seem to do alot of dogs probably because i love wolves so much .. thanks bro i will continue to practice on my drawings and sculpture to try to improve.. thanks again les it means alot..
hope to see you post something soon..
some more tests in progress..
