Default Imobot, and no it's not from Apple

I did these illustrations for Internet Movil, a local company here in Cancun. I made 16 illustrations on a thight deadline. What I like about Zbrush is that it can help you quickly resolve some tasks when you are in a hurry. Like allowing you to make major changes in proportions easily once all the modeling is done. The initial concept for the robot was leaner but once the modeling was done it was decided that it needed to look friendlier. So I pushed and pullled until I got the proper proportions. Smooth brush is nice in these situations too. The other time saver are adaptive UV tiles. I know it's not a lot of work for UV mapping but when you are in a hurry can't beat AUV for distortion free textures.

Great Bot! Good to see ZBrush used for these kind of things as well. I try to incorporate it in my daily workflow as well. And it comes in handy at the weirdest times Right now I'm modelling a balloon for instance and painting in all the folds with ZBrush. Well I guess that's pretty straight forward but no other program let's me use 8 milj poly's for it

Keep it up, do you have more work?

wow you live in Cancun and get to use zbrush for a living....how cool is that? Can we see the 'Evilbot'?...I mean the one deemed less friendly...for comparison....You don't have to....I am as always...just curious. I have to agree with Maxim....it's cool to see different ways zbrush is used around the universe of creativity.

    Keep on z'ing!

    Thanks for the comments.

Maxim_fleury: Yes, ZB is pretty handy for any CG job. Sort of a swiss knike of graphics applications. Making the folds for your baloon sounds like the perfect job for ZB. Check my user gallery in this forum and my website if you want to see any more of my work. And I have 8 more Imobot images that I didn't post because I thought they were too many already.

Aminuts: Yeah, I think I'm lucky on both counts. Except when you have a big hurricane coming down your way then you don't feels so lucky. I'm not sure if I can show the "evilbot" as you call it. I would have to ask permision. It's mostly a leaner version of this without some elements and one arm is different.
