    Default fine details

what is the best techniques for doing all the small details like wrinkles, bumps, pores etc.? i know there are several different ways like projection master, or changing the alpha and painting with the brush, painting a mask with an alpha then using the brush, and probably a few other ways. how do you guys do it? what would give the best result?

    Hi thirteen,

for me one of the best results are, chose alpha texture, pick clay tool and set how intense do you want it, and paint on your model, but use new layer, it is easier to erase layer than to start all over again.

when you say "clay tool", do you mean the standard brush?

No, there's a clay brush and a clay tube brush. They're pretty neat. I use whatever I think will give the affect, often trying different things. The Rake has been a recent fave of mine but the Clay brush is right up there too!

As miztli said, I'm using 3.1 You guys need to download the update, it's free to all ZBrush 3 owners. You can download it from the main site:

    http://www.pixologic.com/zbrush/

and just look for the link. After you install it, the new brushes will be in the brushes menu.

The clay tubes and the rakes brush should be under "macros" in zb3, or under the Quick interface, or something lake that, regardless of if you have ZB 3,1 installed
