Thanks jason for quick reply and helping in learning zbrush.
I checked your tutorials on veoh also.I like your style of discussing bad and good things, what to do and what not to do stuff.
Now videos at veoh are not arranged properly like they used to before(2 days ago).Almost 500 tutorials by you including photoshop, maya, zbrush are there.

i think this tread is 2 years old or something why don't you try youtube or Veoh for a cheap fast solution or if you have some cash to spare try gnomonology or digitaltutors

Gnomonology, digital tutors arent free.I will prefer VTC intro to zbrush3 by Jason Welsh aka cannedmushrooms if someone wants to start learning zbrush. He covers every basic thing.Plus his free lessons are very cool too.

Just when you thought it was safe to get back in the water!

A weird workflow video comes your way

There is a couple ways to do this, but have you ever wanted to spread an alpha across a surface even enough that nobody could ever tell how you did it?
    Aka procedural material

    Example: Vinyl, Plastic, Fabric

Well heres a fun way to do it using Maya and Zbrush together.

grr so ya youtube codes not working?

    Enjoy

I also have a fun way to bake shadows in the community forum using maya and blender (yes this is known as a plug)

    heh

Appreciate the reply, you seem to have a good track record for replying to peoples questions, its very honourable. So thank you, I was however referring to the scene file, and perhaps the texture files. Just to cross reference scale, lighting and SSS values and perhaps colour values of your maps with my own scene. Did you ever get around to compiling that scene/textures file?

Another link to download the lessons is on 3D total which is one nice big .zip file so one doesn't need to hassle with the veoh login and download application etc:
    http://www.3dtotal.com//team/Tutoria...esson%2013.zip

Still experimenting with maya's SSS shader and not a fan of single pass renders, it seems that that is the route people are taking with maya SSS. Currently with initial tests in maya its feel like there is a loss of texture quality using either diffuse or overall colour as apposed to using a standard material diffuse channel. Its almost like a filter is applied, a slight blur, even though all settings relating to filtering are off.

    All the best mate.
    Regards
    Stu Shapiro.

I tried to watch your tutorials at work but I cant install the player that is required to see them. Iīve got 64 bits xp here and the player installation says that I must install the application on xp or vista. You have any idea how I can fix this? I really want to see those videos.

VLC player is the best for any video viewing issue

Most of my vids are in MOV nowadays H264 compression.

So ya for a PC you'll need VLC player to view.

It has the float on top of program feature to make tutorials easy to view.

Or you can go quicktime with mediaplayer classic workflow

The problem is that I canīt download the full video without Veohwebplayer, and I canīt install that player on my 64 bit system for some reason. Do you have any other dl links?

As it is now I can only see a 5 min preview :/
