You have some really great work I really like alien head with the red rectangles over the eyes. I was wondering if you could post more pictures of the alien base mesh you showed in one of the post I'm strugling to create my own and I thought being able to use some images of yours might help me along.

    Thanks gang!

wdcstudios -I'll get on it as soon as I get back home. I'm heading over to a friend's house to pick up some artwork but when I get back I'll find what you're talking about and post it for ya.

Something I did after waking up this morning (still lots of work to do on it):

Hey, here's a link where you can get a human model similar to my guy for you to use and study:

I figure that'd be better than a bunch of pics, yes?

Edit: Thanks for the kind words about the new model! I hope it looks good once I wrap it around the turtle looking dude.

Damn dude! Your like a freakin machine! All these awesome models so quick. Where do you find the time? Keep 'em comin. By the way the goat eyes would look cool in that other creature from earlier. Cheers.

Thanks! Yeah, I have to go back and get those eyes done, lol. I just haven't taken the time to do that - too many ideas in my head for other things. I will do it though.

    Here's an update for ya.

Oh my! What's this?! Clothing? how bizarre. Anyone who's seen my models knows it's the rare one that is clothed. Mostly because I didn't take the time to try and partially because I like posting anatomy studies so I can find out where I'm going wrong. However, as cool as naked people are, they sadly aren't walking around us everyday so I figured "best to start putting cloth on them bare bottoms".

So, I tried it out. Not really pleased with it yet but I'm still learning (that's my excuse for the next two weeks anyway...after that, I won't have any). So let me know what ya think. I'm going to try a belt with a few pouches and scabbards and stuff. Man, it's so much easier drawing it with a pencil and paper than it is doing it in 3D! lol. Anyway, like I said, critique away.

Cool character. I like his face. Reminds me of a koala bear. Not sure the clothing goes with it though? But lets see where you go with it

Thanks! Brett, that's called "no planning". lol. I was winging it but the idea was to do some psuedo swashbuckling-helmet-wearing-sword-carrying-thingie. Didn't work out. He's back in the buff now.

In the meantime, I did plan something out. A tribute to one of my fav artists:

Can you guess my inspiration? Anyway, her face is coming along slowly. I'm going for a bit more square jawed face...sort of like that actress with the excessively long name that played in Robin Hood: Prince of Theives.

Thanks. The inspiration for the woman was an illustration by Jean Giraud. I can't recall the name of the image it's from...I think it was part of his Airtight Garage. Anyway, here's a new one. This is going to be a model of a super hero a friend of mine came up with. It's posed asymmetrically, so I have to sculpt it asymmetrically despite the model itself being symmetrical. That's the one thing I miss from Mudbox (I tried the demo before getting ZB3).
