Well, it's done. Except if anyone has any really good constructive criticisms.

Very nice work DocTiki. The only thing really noticeable is that she has less definition than the book. It is hard to accept with a depth of field that radical. Great character though.

    DocTiki,
I like it very much, the layout, the composition, the mood and the model.
What I don't like is: the stairs on the right, maybe because they like more human made and they are in contrast with your character, which I recognize to be an alien like or I'm wrong ? I don't like the right hand, it seems fake, give it life. Last about how she is dressed: there's the belt (?) that should have another material or color to be different from clothes.
    Anyway, it's great work.

    racer-hike.jpg

Been awhile since I posted! Here's a character I've been working on recently. A lanky fellow in some kind of racing suit. Here he's thumbing for a ride.

Basemesh was done in Max, details sculpted in ZB and exported back as normal maps.

Attached is a terrifying in-progress shot of the sculpt.

The scene with character holding the book is very nice.
The only thing I whould add than no one did mention is that in my opinion there is a problem with scale of the stairs. For me they are to small. It is a problem with compositing I think. The perspective of the scene behind her don't mach to her perspective... I even have made this drawing, (I know my green lines are not fiting architectural perspectiv very well but I think that doesn't mater to much). Corect me if I'm wrong. Anyhow Hope that will help...

I'm pretty sure they're the right scale because I had other figures set up on the other levels at one point. It's not compositing, just a straight render. The scale of the structures are huge.

The other thing is that the image is nearly two years old.

Could you also just link that image? It's huge and breaking my H-scroll.

I've fixed that... Maybe it's just my feeling about the scale
